Chrome Relay is an open-source macOS tool comprising a Chrome extension, a local Go relay, and a command-line interface that lets coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Paseo operate an existing Chrome profile in background tabs using its signed-in sessions. The extension opens agent-owned tabs in a collapsed group and controls them through Chrome's debugger protocol, while the relay exposes a per-agent DevTools endpoint and supports either step-by-step agent-browser commands or the `chrome-relay do` command for completing a stated goal. The `do` workflow fills named fields from agent-supplied data, replays previously successful site flows, or uses a decision model such as TypeSafe's Jev or Claude Haiku to choose among page controls; it checks elements before and after each action and returns control when a decision is uncertain or potentially consequential. Actions are recorded in a local JSONL audit trail that includes pages, clicks, scripts, screenshots, uploads, popups, sign-in actions, and blocked pages while omitting typed values and URL query strings. Optional features include 1Password-based sign-in, Secure Enclave passkeys, iPhone approvals, notifications, and a faster decision model. The project is currently built from source and loaded as an unpacked extension; it requires macOS, Google Chrome, Go, and agent-browser, and is released under the MIT license.
