Amazon EKS is a managed Kubernetes service from Amazon Web Services (AWS) for running Kubernetes clusters and workloads on AWS infrastructure. It provides managed control planes and integrates with AWS services and Kubernetes tooling.
It is Amazon's managed Kubernetes service. Viktor recommends moving toward EKS rather than investing further in ECS when new capabilities or ecosystem integrations are needed.
