Codex iOS Assistant is an open-source system for controlling and inspecting an iPhone from Codex running on a Mac. Its `iphone` CLI sends private commands through iMessage to an iOS Shortcut; the Shortcut performs native iOS actions and returns device context through an authenticated HTTPS response routed via Cloudflare Tunnel to a receiver on the Mac. A per-user macOS LaunchAgent runs the Messages sender outside the Codex sandbox over a Unix socket. The system can read visible screen text, save screenshots, access or replace the clipboard, manage alarms, open specified apps, control timers, the flashlight, and Low Power Mode, place calls, and read Mac Contacts and the Mac Messages database. Message composition creates a draft for review; the CLI does not send ordinary messages, make purchases, install apps, order food, or request rides. It requires macOS 14 or newer, Python 3.11 or newer, Messages, Xcode Command Line Tools, an iPhone reachable at a configured iMessage address, iCloud sync for Shortcuts, and a Cloudflare-managed domain. Installation uses the repository scripts and creates an iOS Shortcut containing 95 native Shortcuts actions, with a manually configured iPhone message automation.

MacTap is a macOS menu-bar app that turns one, two, or three knocks on a compatible MacBook chassis or the desk beneath it into keyboard shortcuts and other mapped actions. It supports left- and right-edge layouts, configurable sensitivity and actions, presets such as Daily, Coding, Capture, Media, and Focus, and per-application overrides. Tap classification runs on-device, with gesture mappings stored locally and nothing uploaded. It requires macOS 14.6 or later and a MacBook whose motion sensor is exposed as an SPU HID device, including M2-and-later models and M1 Pro, Max, or Ultra systems; some M1 models, including the original M1 Air, are unsupported. The app requires Accessibility permission for actions to send shortcuts, is distributed as a signed and notarized macOS app, and is licensed under the MIT license.

cli-faq-shortcuts is an agent skill that analyzes a developer's coding-agent history and turns repeated requests into project-specific slash-command shortcuts for Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Its local extractor reads prompts from the relevant Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor history files, excluding subagent turns and scripted runs. The agent groups differently worded prompts by intent, counts recurring asks, checks existing shortcuts and project tools, and presents candidates for the user to select. Each selected shortcut is written as a SKILL.md file under the project’s .claude/skills directory, linked through .agents/skills so the supported agents can load it; the repository also records mappings in CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md. Shortcuts can point to existing scripts and queries, include project-specific cautions, and use a dry run before actions that write or send data. The extractor can be run independently with Python and reads local files without making network calls. The repository supports installation on macOS, Linux, and Windows, and is licensed under Apache-2.0.
