Astro

Frontman is an open-source, browser-based AI coding agent for visual frontend editing. It lets users select an element in a running application, describe a change in plain language, and edit the underlying source files with hot reload. The agent uses the live DOM, component tree, computed CSS, routes, source maps, and server logs to identify the relevant code, then presents the resulting diff for review. It supports frontend projects using frameworks and tools including Next.js, Astro, Vite, React, Svelte, and Vue, and is distributed under Apache 2.0 / AGPL-3.0 as listed in its repository.

Nimbus is an open-source documentation-site scaffolder by Cloudflare that builds Astro sites directly in a repository. It writes layouts, components, styles, routes, content collections, and theme tokens as editable source files, while its plumbing is provided through npm packages. The generated sites include agent-readable Markdown and MDX page twins, llms.txt and llms-full.txt files, JSON-LD, sitemaps, robots.txt, per-page Open Graph images, full-text search, theming, accessible navigation, and optional versioned documentation. Nimbus also provides a registry for adding editable components, utilities, and agent-handoff recipes to an existing project. Sites produce static output for deployment anywhere, with Cloudflare as a first-class target, and include prose, structure, MDX, and configuration validation. The project is built on Astro, Sätteri, Tailwind, and optionally React; its README describes it as work in progress and pre-1.0.

Next.js is an open-source React framework developed by Vercel for building full-stack web applications. It extends React with server rendering, static-site generation, hybrid rendering, components, and routing, and integrates Rust-based JavaScript tooling for builds. The project provides documentation, a learning course, a showcase, community discussions, and contribution guidelines.

Vite is frontend tooling for modern web projects, developed in the vitejs organization. It combines a development server that extends native ES modules with fast Hot Module Replacement and a build command that bundles code with Rolldown into optimized static assets for production. It provides a JavaScript and plugin API with full typing support, and is distributed under the MIT license.

Framer is a web-based design and website-building platform that combines visual design, prototyping, and site creation with built-in hosting, CMS, analytics, security, and SEO. Its AI design agent generates page designs and websites from textual prompts on a visual canvas; the generated designs remain editable and can be deployed through Framer’s hosted SaaS.
