Aura

Aura is an open-source web gallery and customizer for ambient, layered gradient backgrounds built with CSS blend modes. It provides live previews and a fullscreen viewer, then lets users add, remove, and reorder layers while adjusting blend modes, blur, opacity, base color, and an optional grain overlay. Gradients can be exported as CSS, Tailwind, CSS variables, or CSS-in-JS, and downloaded as PNG or SVG images; the tool also generates prompts for recreating a gradient with ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot. The repository is MIT-licensed and provides a local development workflow using pnpm.
