AX CLI

Arize AX CLI is a command-line interface for Arize AI's agent observability, evaluation, tracing, and experimentation platform. It provides guided setup for tracing and supports running experiments from the terminal as part of a workflow that turns production signals into evaluations and regression datasets for improving AI agents.

Arize AX is an AI engineering platform from Arize AI for observing and evaluating AI agents, including voice agents. It provides a unified session and trace view that combines audio, transcripts, latency metrics, tool calls, and evaluation results, allowing failures such as dead air, interruptions, transcription errors, and incorrect tool actions to be investigated together. The platform supports tracing real-time audio with OpenInference semantic conventions, audio-native evaluations for factors such as sentiment, latency, interruptions, and task success, and agent experiments that test fixes against failed traces. It is available through the Arize AX product interface and a terminal-based setup.

AX is Google's open agentic orchestration runtime for declaring and running autonomous agent workloads in Kubernetes clusters. It defines Tasks, Workspaces, Gateways, and Models as ax.io/v1alpha1 manifests: Tasks run agent code in isolated sandboxes, Workspaces preconfigure Git repositories, MCP servers, and skill packages, Gateways restrict outbound traffic with host allowlists, and Models configure the platform's LLM access through Kubernetes secrets. The control plane runs on Agent Substrate and is operated through a kubectl-shaped CLI that applies manifests, watches task status, opens SSH sessions into sandboxes, and suspends or resumes checkpointed agents. AX is described as being designed for high-throughput cluster operation and is still subject to breaking changes before a stable release. It is distributed under the Apache License 2.0.

Ant CLI is a command-line tool from Anthropic for managing Claude-based agents. It lets developers define long-term agent resources in YAML within a codebase and synchronize or update those definitions from CI/CD pipelines in a Terraform-style workflow. The workshop describes its use for versioning agent configurations and supporting tenant isolation across workspaces, organizations, or session metadata.
