Bangumi

Bangumi is an unofficial mobile client for the bgm.tv media-tracking and discussion site, built with React Native for iOS and Android. It manages progress for anime, music, Japanese dramas, games, and visual novels, and provides mobile interfaces for entries, characters, timelines, posts, user spaces, searches, rankings, calendars, tags, logs, groups, and other site sections.

Overview

The client adds features beyond the website, including limited synchronization from bilibili and Douban, a CDN-backed data layer for cover images and static data, episode-level streaming-source information, local folder management with Romanized-title scraping, image previews, word clouds, recommendation and related-series views, filtering rules, user blocking, and several specialized browsing and game-like interfaces. It does not provide media downloads, direct playback, or modification, according to the project disclaimer.

The project is distributed as an Android application and through available iOS sideloading methods; its README says Google Play distribution is suspended and that iOS App Store resubmission is not planned. The repository describes the code as intended for learning and noncommercial use.
