da-cli is a zero-dependency Python command-line tool for syncing DeviantArt galleries to local folders as a backup of watched artwork. It uses the DeviantArt API with OAuth 2.1 PKCE, stores a local SQLite index so repeat runs can avoid downloading unchanged content, and provides commands for syncing feeds, individual artists, or watched users, along with search and browsing helpers for tags, topics, users, deviations, and daily deviations.
The distribution package is named da-sync and installs the da command. It supports unattended scheduling through launchd on macOS or a systemd timer on Linux; macOS secrets are stored in the Keychain, while Linux Secret Service support is planned. The project describes its sync and search flows as beta, with 868 tests reported in the README.
