Holosticker

Holosticker is a browser-based holographic sticker studio developed by jal-co. It accepts SVG or PNG artwork, renders a PBR holofoil surface with view-dependent diffraction bands, thin-film iridescence, metallic flakes, and environment reflections, and supports pointer-driven tilt effects.

Overview

The studio generates die-cut borders using an exact Euclidean distance transform with morphological closing for cut tolerance. It also provides ink-density control, triangle, square, and stripe refractor overlays with per-facet diffraction phases, and a 3D peel effect with a graded hinge bend, conical curl, and glossy foil-liner backside. Settings can be saved or imported as JSON, and transparent PNGs can be exported at 1024, 2048, or 4096 pixels. The static Vite application uses React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and three.js, and is deployed on Vercel.

What Holosticker is used for

1 use taken from transcripts — each links to the moment in the video.

  • A browser-based studio that turns SVG or PNG images into realistic holographic stickers. It renders diffraction, iridescence, metallic flakes, reflections, die-cut borders, refractor patterns, and 3D peels, then exports transparent PNGs.
