LoopX is an open-source, provider-neutral state kernel and local-first control plane for long-horizon AI agents and peer agent teams. It runs on top of agent harnesses such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, dsh, or a custom harness rather than replacing them, keeping objectives, gates, tasks, evidence, quotas, schedules, recovery state, and handoffs durable across bounded turns, sessions, tools, and agents. Its control layer makes semantic decisions about what happens next and supports governance, recovery, human-agent collaboration, and reviewable work. The accompanying personal agent workspace stores goals, attention, conversations, tasks, files, schedules, and recovery state locally across restarts; its supported browser/PWA dashboard can continue work across registered agent sessions and use typed previews, explicit confirmation, and receipts for protected changes.

Jive is an open-source terminal coding agent that plans work as executable graphs. It replaces sequential tool calls with graph calls: the planner produces a directed acyclic graph containing tool calls and Jev calls, allowing the agent to perform multi-step profiling, dataset analysis, and repetitive tasks with fast decisions inserted between harder reasoning steps. The project emphasizes a lightweight, token-efficient agent scaffold with eager execution, flexible graphs, and support for system-one and system-two models. It can be installed with the project's shell installer and is distributed under the MIT license.

jcode is an open-source, Rust-based terminal harness for AI coding agents and LLM workflows, designed for interactive development across multiple sessions. It supports resumable sessions, session search, multi-agent swarm and helper-agent workflows, compatible model-provider integrations, MCP, browser automation, and a self-development mode; installation scripts target macOS, Linux, and Windows. For automatic memory, jcode embeds turns and responses as semantic vectors, searches a graph of stored memories using cosine similarity, and feeds relevant results into the conversation. A memory sideagent can verify and expand retrieval, while periodic extraction stores new memories and ambient consolidation reorganizes entries and checks for staleness and conflicts. Explicit memory tools and traditional retrieval over previous sessions are also available. Its terminal UI includes side panels, diff views, inline Mermaid diagrams, information widgets, custom scrolling, and real-time rendering. The project supplies a Mermaid renderer without browser or TypeScript dependencies and publishes benchmarks covering RAM consumption, startup and input-readiness times, and memory scaling across multiple active sessions.

fx is an open-source coding-agent harness and command-line interface written in Zig by Vercel Labs. It is designed as a compact Unix-like alternative to a terminal IDE, with interactive and one-shot requests for inspecting and modifying repository code, running shell commands, and saving or resuming sessions. The agent supports skills, MCP tools, plugins, subagents, permission rules, and headless requests, and can be embedded natively or through WebAssembly. It is model-agnostic, supports local and cloud inference, is distributed under the Apache-2.0 license, and is marked experimental by its repository.

Unreal Agent is an async-first agent harness from Unreal Labs. Its library and command-line executables coordinate persisted agent sessions, LLM turns, tool calls, and asynchronous operations. Inputs carry caller-supplied globally unique IDs for deduplication; sessions store append-only history that can be recovered or forked; and tool translators validate model-produced calls and convert them into serializable operations whose execution state is tracked separately. The harness includes a session inbox, coordinator, session store, context builder, LLM adapter, tool registry, tool translators, and an operation manager. Session and operation data are versioned and serializable, allowing operations to be dispatched to alternative or remote runtimes; unsupported session versions produce an explicit resume error. The repository contains the harness library, executables, and benchmark runners.
