Kiro

Kiro Crew is an open-source persistent workspace for development work, developed by Kiro. It runs locally or remotely on the user's hardware and preserves ongoing work beyond a single session. Users can access it through a desktop app, web dashboard, CLI, Slack, or Discord; multi-step tasks can run unattended, recurring jobs follow schedules, and heartbeats monitor systems until attention is needed. Kiro Crew Apps combine purpose-built interfaces with agents, skills, schedules, integrations, and backend services. The project can run through a desktop application, a local or remote installation, a Docker image, or a source build, with kiro-cli underneath.

Kilo Code is an open-source AI coding agent and agentic engineering platform from Kilo, available as extensions for VS Code and JetBrains, a command-line interface, and cloud services. It can generate and edit code across multiple files, provide inline autocomplete, run terminal commands and control a browser, and act as an external coding harness for cross-harness model testing. The platform includes Code, Plan, Ask, Debug, and Review agents, supports custom agents, allows model switching during a task, and uses self-checking to review and correct its work. It also provides MCP server discovery, autonomous CI/CD execution, cloud agents, and automated pull-request code reviews.

Kandev is an open-source, self-hostable AI Kanban and development environment for orchestrating coding agents and reviewing their work. It organizes tasks in Kanban and pipeline views, supports parallel execution and multi-step agentic workflows, and isolates concurrent work with Git worktrees. Its integrated workspace combines a file editor, file tree, terminal, browser preview, chat, and Git changes for reviewing and iterating on agent output. Agents can run through local, Docker, SSH, or cloud runtimes, with support for multiple agent providers; the project also provides configurable workflows, agent profiles, prompts, review gates, scheduled or webhook-triggered automations, and no telemetry.

iCode is a lightweight, extensible, fully offline terminal development platform and toolkit for orchestrating AI agents and workflows, developed as an open-source project by openJiuwen-ai. Its terminal interface shows the active agent, model, approval mode and session; renders Markdown and diagrams; and provides workflow execution views with per-node models, tool calls and token spending. Agents are configured rather than coded and can include instructions, tools, sub-agents, skills, MCP servers and memory. Model profiles from different providers can be switched during a conversation, while file diffs, turn-based rollback, token and cache usage, model/tool timelines, and an embedded shell expose and control execution. iCode does not include models, telemetry, analytics or crash reporting; it uses only the providers, MCP servers and hooks configured by the user. The repository describes the project as a work in progress, requires uv to run, and distributes it under the Apache License 2.0 alongside separately licensed third-party components.

Kimchi is an open-source coding-agent platform and harness developed by Cast AI. Its terminal coding-agent CLI, built on the pi-mono coding-agent SDK, connects to Kimchi's LLM infrastructure and can operate in single-model or multi-model mode. In multi-model mode, an orchestrator classifies work into roles such as planning, building, reviewing, codebase exploration, and research, then delegates tasks to configured models or model pools using tier and task metadata; requests are tagged by phase and user-defined labels for usage and cost attribution. Kimchi includes Ferment, a persistent project-management mode that stores goals, phases, steps, decisions, memories, and append-only transition logs so work can resume across sessions. Ferment V2 provides an experimental objective controller with token budgets and independent completion evaluation. The CLI also provides Language Server Protocol tools for diagnostics, navigation, references, renaming, and type information, plus remote sessions that synchronize a working tree to a cloud sandbox and keep an agent running after the local terminal closes. Kimchi supports MCP and native Pi packages, migration of configurations from Claude Code, OpenCode, and Cursor, configurable command hooks, and installation through Homebrew, shell or PowerShell installers, or standalone binaries.
