Overview

The project is being rewritten around a Rust core intended to support browser, desktop, and mobile clients from one codebase. The planned architecture includes an Editor API, third-party plugins, an MCP server for AI agents, headless batch rendering, and an in-editor scripting tab. The existing classic version remains available through opencut.app while the rewrite is developed at new.opencut.app. OpenCut is licensed under the MIT License.
