Cloud platform running the workshop's model
IBM Cloud is IBM's suite of public, private and hybrid cloud computing services, providing infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and cloud-native services (including containers and Kubernetes). It is operated by IBM and integrates with IBM enterprise offerings such as Red Hat OpenShift.
Google Cloud is Google’s cloud computing platform, providing hosted infrastructure, managed services, security, data management, and hybrid and multicloud capabilities. It includes Vertex AI for building and integrating AI applications and can host development workflows such as Claude Code.
Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) is an open-source software development platform and CAD geometry kernel for 3D surface and solid modeling, CAD data exchange, and visualization. Its functionality is provided mainly as C++ libraries for applications in computer-aided design, manufacturing, and engineering analysis; the videos describe it as compiled to WebAssembly for browser-based parametric CAD. OCCT is distributed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 with a special exception, and may alternatively be used under an Open CASCADE commercial license or contractual agreement.
Crusoe Cloud is Crusoe's cloud infrastructure platform for AI workloads, providing compute, storage, networking, GPU node pools, and a console for managing and observing GPU infrastructure. Crusoe describes its offering as AI infrastructure and cloud compute with an energy-first approach. Its Managed Slurm runs on Kubernetes: Slurm provides gang scheduling, topology awareness, and familiar sbatch workflows, while Kubernetes supplies dynamic resource management, node health handling, and observability. The platform's AutoClusters can notify operators, drain and replace a failed GPU node, requeue the workload, and resume training from a checkpoint without manual intervention; the demonstrations also cover sharing GPUs between training and inference as demand changes.
Modular Cloud is Modular's cloud layer for distributed AI inference, built on the company's unified stack of MAX serving and modeling APIs and Mojo GPU kernels. It provides hosted inference endpoints for open or custom models, with deployments available in Modular's managed cloud or in a customer's VPC; self-hosted MAX and Mojo containers can also run on customer infrastructure. The service is presented as a tunable system in which users can adjust variables across MAX and Mojo and examine performance and cost trade-offs in a cloud lab. Its hardware-agnostic stack targets GPUs, CPUs, and other accelerators, with OpenAI-compatible APIs, custom-kernel support, workload tuning, and observability. Modular describes shared endpoints, dedicated endpoints, and custom-model deployments with per-token or per-minute pricing.
