Parin is a 2D game engine for the D programming language, positioned between a small library such as raylib and a full engine such as Godot. It uses a code-driven design without an engine-mandated architecture and lets developers choose between garbage-collected and manual memory management. Built largely on the portable Joka utility library, it includes pixel-perfect physics, dialogue, texture-atlas animation, tile maps, path finding, screen shake, and a simple UI library. Projects define a function called every frame and can be started with DUB templates; the engine supports WebAssembly, Windows, Linux, and macOS, with optional bindings or integrations for Box2D, Steamworks, and ENet.

A simple 2D game engine for the D programming language, aiming for the space between a small library and a full engine like Godot. You write one function that runs every frame and structure the rest however you like, with pixel-perfect physics, a dialogue system, animation from texture atlases, and tile maps.
