Jev Search is a web search application built by Search1API that uses TypeSafe's Jev to interpret plain-language requests, select search terms, sources, and time ranges, and rank results. It queries general and vertical search engines concurrently, merges results by URL, engine agreement, original rank, and Jev relevance scores, and returns links and snippets with editable filters rather than generated answers. The application streams results as search lanes finish, reports failed sources separately, and can be installed as a browser app; it requires a network connection for searches. The open-source application is MIT licensed and can be self-hosted on Cloudflare Workers with Search1API and a Jev provider such as TypeSafe, Vercel AI Gateway, or Cloudflare Workers AI.

Search is a small, fast WebKit browser for macOS developed by Office Commun. It provides a single address-and-search field, tabs, reading mode, picture-in-picture video, bookmarks, history, downloads, built-in ad and tracker blocking, per-site clutter hiding, and password storage in the macOS keychain. It has no account, sync, cloud storage, telemetry, or analytics; browsing data remains on the Mac. The browser uses WebKit and lazily creates each tab's web view, while its ad blocker runs as a compiled WKContentRuleList before network requests are made and its hidden-element rules are injected at document start. It can run Chrome extensions through WebKit's extension engine, adding shims for Chrome APIs that WebKit lacks; extension support requires macOS 15.4 or later. Search supports macOS 14 or later, is distributed as a free download of about 3 MB or through Homebrew, and is licensed under the MIT License. The repository contains a Swift and SwiftUI/AppKit implementation with no dependencies beyond Apple's macOS frameworks.

eSearch is a cross-platform Electron screenshot and screen-search application for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It combines screenshot capture and editing, color picking, drawing, scrolling capture in arbitrary directions, screen recording, pinning images on screen, OCR, translation, reverse image search, QR-code recognition, and screen translation. Its offline eSearch-OCR engine is based on PaddleOCR. Users can select text in a screenshot for recognition, paragraph or vertical-text processing, rotation-aware recognition, later editing and proofreading, and optional additional language models; online OCR services are also supported. OCR output can be sent to translation engines, while reverse image search can use Google, Baidu, or Yandex, and the application can connect to configurable multimodal-model interfaces. Screen translation creates a pinned window that replaces recognized text with translated text and can run on a timer. The application provides configurable shortcuts and tray operation, supports Windows, Linux, and macOS, and is distributed from its website, releases, Arch Linux AUR, and winget. It is released under GPL-3.0.

Keyword Surfer is a browser extension by Surfer that displays keyword search volumes, related keywords, and estimated CPC directly in Google search results to support keyword research and on-the-fly SEO analysis. It is offered by Surfer (formerly Surfer SEO).

Lunr.js is a small, browser-based full-text search library developed in the olivernn/lunr.js project. It indexes JSON documents locally and provides a search interface that returns matching document references, relevance scores, and match metadata; it can generate the search index used by static sites such as microblogs. It supports field-specific searches, query-time term boosting, document-level index boosting, wildcard and edit-distance fuzzy matching, and full-text search in 14 languages. The library can be included directly in a web page or installed through npm, and is intended for client-side searching without a server-side search service or network connection.
