SimRun is a macOS tool that runs iOS Simulator builds directly in ordinary Mac windows without booting a simulated iPhone. It launches the unchanged app built for the iOS Simulator, maps Mac mouse, trackpad, keyboard, clipboard, and motion input to iPhone interactions, and provides a launcher for managing apps, profiles, data containers, keychain items, logs, and runtime or device choices.
Its command-line tool can launch, list, quit, screenshot, inspect, and stream logs from apps, run them headlessly with separate profiles, feed microphone input, and experimentally drive interfaces through a JavaScript API. It can also convert some development or ad hoc device builds for Simulator execution. SimRun requires an Apple-silicon Mac, Xcode with an iOS Simulator runtime, and disabled System Integrity Protection; it is an experimental project and does not replace testing in the Simulator or on a physical device. It is distributed under the MIT License.
