Spring Boot

Spring Boot is a Java framework from the Spring project for creating stand-alone, production-grade Spring applications and services. It supports executable Java applications launched with `java -jar`, traditional WAR deployments, and a command-line tool for running Spring scripts. Its conventions provide common features such as embedded servers, security, metrics, health checks, and externalized configuration, without code generation or mandatory XML configuration. In the cited video, Spring Boot is the target project environment for the Lithe-IDEA Java IDE.
