The Craft of Selfteaching is a book and learning resource by Li Xiaolai about developing self-teaching skills through reading, deliberate practice, and programming. Its curriculum uses Python as an entry point, covering fundamentals such as control flow, functions, strings, containers, files, modules, testing, object-oriented programming, decorators, iterators, generators, regular expressions, and grammar notation, alongside chapters on overcoming difficulties, deliberate thinking, decomposition, communication, attention, and self-directed learning. The book is hosted as a GitHub repository with JupyterLab and Markdown reading formats, appendices for setting up JupyterLab, Visual Studio Code, and Git, and an invitation for readers to submit proofreading changes through pull requests.
