TypeWords is an open-source English vocabulary and article practice tool developed as a Nuxt application. It supports follow-along, dictation, self-test, and spelling-from-memory modes for words, with a smart mode that selects learning words using memory-curve calculations. Word entries can include phonetics, American and British pronunciation, example sentences, phrases, synonyms, roots, etymology, and error statistics; incorrect words, favorites, and mastered words can be stored for review or automatically skipped. Users can also practice built-in or imported articles through sentence-by-sentence follow-along and dictation modes, including bilingual comparison and automatic pronunciation. The project can run locally with data saved in the browser or local environment, and is distributed under an open-source repository.
