Tool Open source
Uptime Kuma is an open-source, self-hosted monitoring tool for checking website and API availability, TCP services, keyword and JSON responses, WebSockets, ping targets, DNS records, Steam game servers, Docker containers, and other endpoints. It can also monitor TLS certificate information and, as described in the video, databases and firewalls.
It provides a web interface with uptime charts, certificate details, proxy and two-factor authentication support, and multiple status pages that can be mapped to specific domains. When checks fail, it sends notifications through Telegram, Discord, Gotify, Slack, Pushover, email via SMTP, and more than 90 other notification services.
The project can be deployed with Docker Compose or a Docker image, or run directly on supported Linux and Windows systems with Node.js, Git, and optionally PM2. The repository documents monitoring intervals of 20 seconds and warns that network file systems such as NFS are not supported for its data directory.
