Zipkin

Zipkin is an open-source distributed tracing system from OpenZipkin. Instrumented applications send trace timing data through a tracer or instrumentation library, commonly over HTTP or Kafka, with additional transports including gRPC, RabbitMQ, and Apache ActiveMQ. Zipkin stores trace data in memory or supported persistent backends such as Cassandra and Elasticsearch, then provides lookup by trace ID or attributes such as service, operation, tags, and duration. Its UI summarizes service timing and failures and displays a dependency diagram of traced requests.
