00:26 >> [music] >> You see, I create content professionally, so I use AI tools a lot. But, here is the problem. AI output is way too easy to spot. That's why I had to figure out how to fix this. So, I developed a five-step method that I have used to humanize hundreds of AI documents and it works every single time. Let's start with the first step. AI loves to repeat certain phrases and words.

Well, instead of manually telling the AI not to use these phrases every single time, you can create a custom instruction that will apply to all future conversations. Here is how to do it in Google Gemini. Go to settings. And then, instructions for Gemini.

01:17 Click add and then paste the instructions shown on your screen. Essentially, I'm telling it how it should reply and what to avoid from specific phrases to analogies. So, paste the instructions, hit submit, and you're good to go. From now on, all future conversations will follow these instructions, which by the way, you can find in the pinned comment below.

01:47 And you can do this with almost any chatbot. In ChatGPT, custom instructions can be found in your profile settings. A similar feature exists in Claude. Just click on your profile, go to settings, and under the general tab, paste your custom instructions. Super easy. But, that's the tip of the iceberg. Perplexity >> [music] >> calls them spaces, ChatGPT calls them custom GPTs, and Gemini, Gems. These are awesome because every chat automatically follows your custom instructions and most importantly, any reference files you wish the AI to consider.

03:55 So, let's create an assistant that will help us humanize AI content. First, go to the pinned comment under the video and open the link called Humanize AI Writing Tips. Scroll down to the end of the page, enter your name and email address, and download the document found there. This document includes all the signs that signify AI writing as well as instructions on how to avoid them.

04:23 Next, go to Gemini, then Gem Manager, and hit new gem. Start by giving your gem a name. Let's call it Humanizer. Then, input a simple description. Next, at the instruction screen, write down the gem's purpose, goals, and behaviors. Again, you can find this in the pinned comment below. At the default tool, pick Canvas because you'll need it for the final step.

04:57 Finally, upload the file you downloaded earlier by clicking the plus icon. Now, every time you initiate a conversation within this gem, the AI will not only follow the custom instructions we added earlier [music] in step one, but also the reference files and custom instructions for this particular gem. All right, let's put it to the test. I'll grab the text we generated earlier and paste it into the gem and task it to humanize it.

05:32 And here's the result in Canvas mode. Now, let's paste it into ZeroGPT and see the score. 13.8% AI detected. That's a massive improvement. You can do the same with Claude. Click new project, give it a name and a description, and then click on instructions, and type the instructions for this particular project. When done, click on files and upload the documents you want it to consider.

06:11 Now, whenever you ask a question within this project, the AI will reply acknowledging your instructions and files. Uploading these instructions helps, but the real magic happens when you add the third step. This step will greatly change how the AI output sounds. What you got to do is provide the AI with a couple of samples of your authentic writing.

06:33 You know, pieces of text you've written yourself. They don't have to be lengthy, but they have to be original. So, >> [music] >> in the gem or project you created earlier, upload a couple of documents that you have written yourself. Once you have done that, adjust the instructions by telling the AI to acknowledge your tone and voice based on these documents.

06:59 [music] This way, your content will match your authentic style and will pass any AI detection test. But, I get it. You might not have writing samples to upload. So, [music] what should you do? This brings us to the fourth step. AI sounds robotic because it lacks personality. >> [music] >> The next two techniques are going to fix this. First, you have to specify your audience and purpose while prompting.

07:23 So, follow up and ask the AI to adjust its tone, explanations, or examples based on who you are writing for. See? ZeroGPT's AI detection score is even lower now that I specified the audience and asked for a specific framework for my LinkedIn post. But, there is an even better personalization technique to make generated text more human-like. This requires mixing your own experiences and personal stories into the output.

08:06 Maybe have an example related to the topic that you believe is a good fit to be added, or maybe a personal anecdote that will make everything more interesting. Share them. Check [music] this out. I'm telling Gemini that I want it to adjust its response by blending some of my personal experiences into the narrative. And look at that. 5.3%. That simple tweak transformed the content into something truly personalized.

08:40 This is because no AI detector can flag you when your content includes personal stories or real-life examples. But, here's the thing. You've got custom instructions, reference files, and personal stories. So, why the result isn't perfect yet? Because there is one final pattern we need to eliminate. AI tends [music] to write every sentence at about the same length along with identical paragraph structure.

09:05 That's why it sounds kind of monotonous. To fix this, you got to read AI's output and make some changes to vary your sentence's length. Let me show you an example. Check how these two paragraphs differ. Above, there is the AI version. Notice how the sentences are approximately of the same length. Below is my own version. Notice the different lengths.

09:30 You see, we humans naturally mix short sentences with longer, complex ones, so we don't sound monotonous. And notice how my own version contains an extra sentence compared to the AI's response. This totally changes the rhythm and pacing, like humans do. Watch this. I'm going to edit this long, robotic-sounding sentence from the last paragraph. I'll just rephrase it by breaking it into two smaller sentences.

10:02 All right. Now, let's run it through ZeroGPT once more. And voila, zero AI text was detected. Perfect. Therefore, my advice is to read out loud what the AI generated. If you stumble over a sentence, delete it. If a phrase sounds unnatural, rewrite it. Always remember, manual refinement is the cherry on top for humanizing AI content. These five steps will completely change how you use AI for content creation.
