All right, starting off here, the absolute most important thing that you need to get right when you're buying the best pre-built gaming PC in 2026, it's the graphics card, or the GPU for short.

00:40 Now, there are a ton of graphics card models out there, from AMD Radeon to Nvidia GeForce and even Intel Arc GPUs. The graphics card needs to be fast enough to give you enough frames per second, FPS for short, at the monitor resolution that you want to game at. That's 1080p, 1440p, or 4K. And your graphics card, it needs enough video RAM, or VRAM for short, to run the latest titles.

01:00 That's different from the system RAM, which we will talk about a little bit later. For 1440p gaming, I recommend graphics cards with 12 GB of VRAM. For 4K, I recommend graphics card with 16 GB of VRAM. And for budget gaming, we will see some 8 GB GPUs as well. For graphics card speeds, just remember that some games are super easy to run, like CS2 or Valerant, and you'll get tons of FPS, even on those weaker graphics cards.

01:23 Well, games that really stress the graphics card, like Borderlands 4 or Cyberpunk 2077, are going to require a little bit more. For 4K or extremely high 1440p FPS, the Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 580 are the fastest graphics cards available right now. The RTX 570 Ti and Radeon RX970 XT are extremely strong 1440p graphics cards, and they're also good for solid 4K gaming at ultra details.

01:46 The RX970 16 GB, it's also good for 4K or high FPS at 1440p, though it's a little bit harder to find in 2026 gaming PCs. Dropping down to solid 1440p graphics cards, we've got the RTX 507012 GB. Now, this card would be strong enough for 4K, but it's 12 GB of VRAM does hold it back at 4K in some titles, so it's mostly 1440p. We also have got the similarly performing RX970 GRE 12 GB.

02:11 Though it was recently launched, I have yet to see them in pre-built gaming PCs in 2026. Dropping down a bit, we've got the RX960 XT 16 GB and the RTX 560 Ti 16 GB graphics cards. They basically have similar performance. We also have the Intel AR B580 12 GB. It's a good graphics card for 60 fps 1440p gaming. It is slower than the other two previous GPUs.

While 8 GB is fine for budget gaming PCs, you do not want to spend over $1,200 or more just to find out your PC is VRAM limited in titles at 1440p. So, if you're a 1440p gamer looking at one of these graphics cards, make sure you see the 16 GB version listed in the specs, not the 8 GB version.

Dropping down to 1080p budget graphics cards, we got a mix of new and older GPUs like the RTX 5060 8 GB, the RX960 XT 8 GB, the RTX 50550 8 GB, and if you can still find the RTX 3060 12 GB. Occasionally, you can also find the Intel ARC B570 10 GB GPU. It's about as fast as an RTX 5050.

03:28 In 2026, does it matter whether you buy an AMD Radeon, an Nvidia GeForce, or an Intel ARC graphics card? Good news here. While Nvidia used to be the dominant GPU maker for gamers with the RX9000 series of graphics cards, AMD has caught up and often at a discount for similar performance Nvidia GPUs. Both AMD and Nvidia have excellent upscalers in DLSS4 and FSR4.

If I were buying a gaming PC in 2026 with three similar performance GPUs at the same price with the same specs, I'd say it's about even between AMD and Nvidia. And for budget gamers, Intel offers a great option with more VRAM at similar price points.

04:12 So, the second most important thing, of course, when buying a pre-built gaming PC in 2026, it's the CPU. Now, we want a gaming CPU that's fast enough that it doesn't overly bottleneck our graphics card. The faster the graphics card, the more important having a fast gaming CPU becomes. Now, the fastest gaming CPUs right now are the Ryzen 9850 X3D and the Ryzen 9800 X3D, followed closely by the Ryzen 7800 X3D.

04:35 The 3D Vcash on these CPUs is incredibly powerful for gaming when paired with a very fast graphics card, but it does matter less as we come down in graphics card power. Now, just below those in gaming performance are the Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series CPUs. This is typically the Ryzen 9700 X, 7700X, or 7600X. Ryzen 9 CPUs like the 9950X or the 9900X are really just for professional workstation PCs.

05:00 They don't really help gaming performance over a CPU like the 9700X, and it's just a waste of money if you mostly just game. We also have Intel CPUs with similar gaming performance, like the Core Ultra 7270K or Ultra 5 250K Plus. But these CPUs, they are also extremely good at multi-core professional work. Now, just below these CPUs is the older Core Ultra 7265K and the Ryzen 8000 series CPUs, which I'd start to look at with a graphics card of an RTX 5070 or slower power.

05:29 In the more middle performance, we have the 12, 13th, and 14th gen Intel CPUs. Now, specifically, we see a lot of i714700F and i514400 CPUs in mid-range gaming PCs. These older but still good CPUs can use either DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. We'll talk about that in just a moment. We want them paired with DDR5 RAM when the graphics card is at least an RTX 570 or higher level, but they are fine with DDR4 RAM when paired with a mid-range to more budget graphics card.

05:57 Dropping down to more budget gaming CPUs, we've got the Ryzen 5000 series CPUs like the Ryzen 5500 or 5700. These are fine for more budget gaming GPUs like the RTX50, RTX 5060, or RX96 XT 8 GB GPUs. Let's talk about challenging topic in 2026. How much RAM does your pre-built gaming PC need? Well, since last year, we have been in a global RAM shortage.

06:18 And that's because AI data centers, they're eating up all the RAM in the SSDs in the world. As a result, we would love to get 32 GB of system RAM, but it's likely only possible in pre-built gaming PCs that cost $1,800 or more. Good news here though, 16 GB of RAM is still enough for gaming in 2026. Now, unless you do really high-end professional work, you do not need more than 32 GB of RAM.

06:41 We also want our RAM to come in a two-stick configuration as a single stick, it just hurts gaming performance. Now, in terms of DDR4 versus DDR5 RAM, for higherend graphics cards, we usually want CPUs that can utilize DDR5 RAM, like the Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series CPUs, along with the Intel Core Ultra 200 series. Intel 12th, 13th, and 14th gen CPUs.

07:05 They can use either DDR4 or DDR5, but they have higher performance when using DDR5. So, that's what we want for higherend graphics cards like the RTX 5070 or higher. More budget systems are going to use DDR4 because it costs about half as much as DDR5 right now. For RAM speeds, systems using DDR4 should have 3200 or 3600 speed RAM. And for DDR5 systems, we would love to see 5600 or faster RAM.

07:30 All right, don't skip this next section because one very overlooked thing that can really hurt your gaming performance, not getting enough CPU cooling. What happens is you end up thermally throttling and you lose FPS. With a CPU cooler, the bigger the CPU, the more cooling it needs. Makes sense, right? downdraft style coolers. Those are fine for lower heat CPUs like a six core Ryzen 7600X or 5600.

07:49 And we love to see single tower air coolers or liquid coolers for Ryzen 7 CPUs like the 7700X or 9700X along with budget Intel CPUs like the i51400. For Ryzen X3D CPUs and higherend Intel CPUs with a K in their name, like the Ultra 7270K, we really want at least a dual tower air cooler, but probably a 240 mm or larger liquid cooler. In 2026, liquid coolers are more popular in pre-built gaming PCs because they survive the shipping process better than those big air coolers.

08:21 All right, let's talk about how upgradeable your pre-built gaming PC is going to be if it's built with off-the-shelf parts like I would use. That's called a system integrator. There's lots of them from ABS to Skitec to Cyber Power PC and others. Now, these systems should be fully upgradable. Then, we got systems built with custommade parts specific to that manufacturer.

08:39 We call these OEM pre-builts like HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Acer. Those PCs, they might have parts that are not standard, and they aren't upgradable. I mostly recommend fully upgradeable pre-built gaming PCs built by system integrators, but sometimes an OEM pre-built is just too good a deal to pass up. I will list out any OEM ones in the links in the video description.

They're broken out by 4K, 1440p, and budget pre-built gaming PCs. I put the PCs in order of their theoretical FPS performance based on the listed specs. That means a PC that's listed higher up, it should be faster than one lower down on the list.

09:19 Let's jump in the best RTX 5090 pre-built gaming PCs in 2026. Now, let's talk about how much you should be prepared to spend for these. Obviously, this is the fastest, biggest graphics card that you can buy right now, and Nvidia is charging a lot of money. We've seen the price on just the graphics cards alone for the RTX 5090 nearly double in 2026. So, they are quite expensive.

09:39 Hopefully, you can pick this up for these pricing, but I wouldn't be surprised if the cheapest ones in the future do go up. All that being said, what would I be looking for here to buy an RTX 5090? I would be looking for something like this. This is the Skitec gaming RTX5090 PC. It's got 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, which is what we want for gaming. We don't need more than that if we're just primarily gaming, even if we're going to do really good video editing and things like that.

10:07 We're also looking for great airflow. And above all else, I think we want an X3D CPU, a Ryzen X3D CPU. And I would really hold out for either a 9800 X3D or a 9850 X3D. those effectively have the same performance level even with the RTX5090. I wouldn't worry about too much between the two of them, but I probably would not want to drop down to the 7800 X3D or any other CPU out there right now because you won't get the full performance out of it, especially at 1440p.

10:33 So, this is a great one. It's got a Gen 4 NVMe SSD. This is going to use an X870 motherboard. That's a higherend motherboard for Ryzen 9000 and 7000 series CPUs. It's got a 1000 watt gold uh PSU on it, which probably is more than adequate, and a 360 mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and it's in this really, really nice shiny case to it. Not much else to say.

10:56 $5,499. This is actually the best deal going right now. Similarly, here's another one from Stormcraft. I know Stormcraft Sky, they sound the same, but they're actually different companies. Stormcraft, another really good pre-built gaming PC maker out there. They're a system integrator. They use off-the-shelf parts. So, these are always going to be upgradeable for you.

11:15 Similar specs here. This is going to use the Ryzen 9800 X3D. It's going to have an RTX 5090 with again 32 gigs of DDR5 6000 speed RAM. This is going to offer you a two TB NVME SSD. That's a nice little upgrade. $5,600. So, it's about $200 more on this one. Again, with the 360 mm all-in-one liquid cooler. This is going to come in a like a nice kind of cleaner look case.

This is going to come with a B850 motherboard, perfectly adequate for an RTX5090 build, but not as high-end as that X870 board that we looked at, and another 1300 watt PSU. All right, let's jump into the best 4K pre-built gaming PCs in 2026.

11:56 Now, other than the RTX5090s, which we already went through, what are we looking to spend here for an RTX 5080, 5070Ti, or RX970 XT? possibly the RX970. Those four graphics cards all have 16 gigs of VRAM. Those are the ones we're looking for to play all titles at 4K ultra settings. Don't have to worry about our VRAM requirements to them. And you're looking to spend at the high end probably $3,200 down to somewhere around just under $2,000.

12:26 So, it's a pretty wide price range. We're going to start with the RTX 5080, which is the most powerful of those graphics cards. What am I looking for here? Probably looking to spend around $3,000. So, I found this one on a deal right now. Something like a Ryzen 9800 X3D would be a fantastic CPU to get with it. An X3D Ryzen CPU. This variant right here has an X670 motherboard.

12:45 A good a really high-end motherboard. 2 TB gen 4 NVME SSD. 32 gigs of DDR5 6000 RAM. That's two thumbs up there. 360 mm all-in-one liquid cooler. It's made by Skitec. Skitec's one of the brands that I often look for. And right now, you can pick this up for just $2,899. $2,900. Significantly cheaper than those RTX5090 pre-built and quite powerful. We can still pick up an RTX 580 pre-built gaming PC for a little bit less money if we're willing to compromise a little bit on some other components like the CPU.

13:19 In this case, we're going to go with a Ryzen 7800 X3D. Still incredibly powerful. Okay, still faster than any of the 9000 series nonX3D CPUs, just not quite as fast as a 9800 X3D, but obviously we're saving $250 here. That were $150. That might make a big difference to somebody. And it's a similar setup. 32 gigs of system RAM, which is what we want.

13:38 DDR56000, 1 TB NVME SSD, 360m all-in-one liquid cooler. Overall, it's a good pickup from Skitec. And then you can also consider one with an Intel Core Ultra 7270K or Intel Core Ultra 5 250K. Either of those CPUs are quite powerful. They are essentially a re-release by Intel. They've tuned those CPUs up a little bit from their Core Ultra 200 series, and I like them quite a bit.

14:01 This one here, 26.49. It's not a bad deal. It's pretty much one of the cheapest RTX 580 pre-builts you can get out there. Similar specs to the other PCs that we were looking at in terms of the cooler, in terms of the RAM, and everything else. All right, dropping down in terms of both price and GPU power for 4K or high FPS 1440p, we're looking for either an RTX 5070Ti or an RX970 XTE.

14:22 Identical performance to them. However, the 5070Ti you are going to pay the Nvidia tax on this one. And if you're willing to do that, this is actually an insane deal right now. Typically, this is more like 24 almost $2500 for something like a 7800 X3D, an RTX 570 Ti, 32 gigs of system RAM, a two TB MVME SSD, and an all-in-one liquid cooler 360 mm in a nice package by a reputable brand like Skitec here.

14:49 Again, typically this is a little bit more expensive, but if you're looking for a 5070Ti, I would pick this up. But you can immediately see the price savings here on a very similar system. The only difference really here, it's the graphics card. So, we've got an RX 9070 XT. Again, just equal FPS to that 5070 Ti, 32 gigs of DDR5 6000 RAM, just like the other one.

15:11 Slight difference here. 1 TB MVME SSD instead of 2 TB. So, there is some uh additional value in that 5070Ti PC, but a 360 millimeter all-in-one liquid cooler. Honestly, this is a great pickup here. Typically, this one's a little closer to $2,000. Right now, it's on superale for $18.99. And then kind of the base here for 32 gigabyte systems that are 4K GPUs.

15:30 This is the Stormcraft gaming PC. This one looks identical. I know it's just has a Ryzen 7700 on it instead of the 7800 X3D or 9800 X3D CPU. So yes, we will get less FPS in a pickup like this. This is typically one of the cheaper ones at $1899. It's just that other one is on superale right now, kind of matching the price. Otherwise, very similar configuration, and you can pick up a 5070Ti PC with these same specs, but they do tend to be quite a bit more expensive.

16:00 All right, let's move into the best 1440p pre-built gaming PCs in 2026. Now, obviously, any of the ones that we've already looked at for 4K will do amazing at 1440p, but if you want something more kind of mid-range and you're not looking to spend as much, these are good options. Now, you're starting off here around $1,800, $1,900 and we're going to possibly go down to about $14,500 on these.

16:20 The GPUs we're looking for at the higher end are the RTX 5070, possibly a 9070 GRE, although that GPU was just introduced. It might take a couple of months, maybe even until next year till we start seeing pre-built gaming PCs with them. But right now, the RTX 5070 has tons of pre-builts out there. Let's start with this one. We're looking for also with the RTX 570, we want to get DDR5 RAM if we can.

16:45 If we have to accept DDR4, we want a really powerful CPU, but really DDR5 is the way to go here. This is a great deal from IBY Power right now. It's got a Ryzen 7 9700F on it. It's got the RTX 570 with 12 gigs of VRAM on it. It's got 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM, which is definitely what we want there. A one TBTE MVME SSD. It's got a air cooler. I've actually seen these air coolers at CES at Consumer Electronic Show.

17:07 They're really, really powerful for this system. I like this complete setup here for $1,800. Now, this PC here is a little bit closer to what you're typically going to spend for an RTX 5070 pre-book gaming PC. You're going to pay a little bit of that Nvidia tax out there. $1,879. What are you getting for that? You're getting 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM, which is great.

17:26 You're getting a Ryzen 7700 CPU, which is a strong 8 core CPU, and it's a more modern DDR5 CPU, which is going to give you a lot more FPS with the RTX 5070. You're going to end up with a decent PSU. In this case, you're also going to get a 360 mm all-in-one liquid cooler. So, great package here by Skitec for $1,879. Now, if we don't mind spending a little bit less on our CPU and getting a more mid-range CPU, we can still pick up things like this.

17:51 This is the MSI RTX 5070 PBO, 12 gigs of VRAMm on it. But this is no liquid cooler, so we're going with an air cooler here, and we're going with the i5 14400F, which is fine. It's a more mid-range gaming CPU. You're not going to get the same level of performance as you probably would with the 7700 X, but with an RTX 570, the performance difference between the CPU starts to shrink.

18:13 It does have 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM, which is two thumbs up. One TB MVME SSD. It's got air cooling. I don't love the airflow on it because it's got a lot of plastic here in front. I wish this was all mesh in the front. I do think it's adequate, however, for these components. Of course, if you do need to save even more money, but you want to stay with like an RTX 5070.

18:32 This is the point where we can consider coming down in terms of overall system RAM from 32 GB to 16 GB. So, you got a pretty good system here. This is a Skitec with a Ryzen 57600. Really good gaming CPU. 9600X. Also really, really good for an RTX 570. And it's got 16 gigs of DDR5 RAM. Now, really important point to make here is it shows two sticks. It says two sticks in the specs.

19:00 That's really, really important. What a number of pre-built makers are doing right now is they're just basically putting in a single 16 GB stick instead of two 8 GB sticks. You lose FPS, quite a bit of FPS when this happens. less so on DDR5 than DDR4, which we'll get into in just a moment with those more budget systems, but you still lose FPS. So, there's no reason to pick one of those up.

19:20 Now, if you see a system where it only shows one stick of RAM, that is a dead giveaway that that system is a no-go. I try really hard to vet everything linked down in the video description. So, check those links out. All right, moving down a little bit in terms of price here. We're going to look for 1440p preo gaming PCs that have an RTX 5060Ti 16 GB GPU or an RX 960 XT 16 GB GPU.

19:43 The performance is roughly identical. The 5060Ti is slightly faster than it. But you do not want to get the 8 gigabyte versions of either of those GPUs. Confusingly enough, there are 8 GB versions. So, we're going to make sure that we get 16 gig ones. Check the links in the video description. I always make sure that there's 16 gig ones instead of eight.

20:01 for 1469. This is actually a really good deal right now. This is the Cyber Power Gamer Supreme. Now, what does that mean? It's just a nonsense name, but really it's got a Ryzen 7 8700F. It's a good enough DDR5 CPU. Not quite as good as a Ryzen 7000 or 9000 series CPU, but still very good for this GPU. 32 gigs of system RAM, DDR5, so two thumbs up. a two terbte MVME SSD, especially with the cost of SSD storage being so expensive right now.

20:28 Two terabytes is an insane deal for $1,469 and has a 240 mm all-in-one liquid cooler over at Walmart. Similarly, another really good deal over at Newegg right now. This is the Asus ROG Stricks GM700. So, it's got a Ryzen 78700F. Again, not the fastest DDR5 CPU, but fast enough for the GPU that we have here, which is the RX960 XT 16 GB. I did check the specs on this one.

20:53 It's got a 1 TB MVME SSD. It's a little bit less storage than the other one. The other one's a little bit better deal. It's on a huge sale right now. Might sell out. This one's typically priced around this price, so I'm going with this one. 32 gigs of DDR5 RAM to it. Overall, it's a nice package. There's a similar one with same sounding name and everything, but only has a single 16 GB stick.

21:13 This is two 8 GB sticks because that's what ASUS publishes on the website. All right. And then dropping down to kind of the lower end of 1440p gaming here is the ARC B580 graphics card. That's the Intel RB580. It's got 12 GB of VRAM to it. Now, these have cost anywhere from a,000 up to $1,200. I'm going to show you one that's on insane sale right now.

21:33 I feel like I'm going to curse it if I do, but I'm going to go with this one first. $1,200 is about been the going rate for these. This is with an i5 12600 KF. Pretty good uh overall gaming CPU. In terms of the cooler, we're going to go with an air cooler. Perfectly adequate. We've got two sticks of DDR4 RAM. Now, we are into CPUs that can use either DDR4 or DDR5.

21:57 And more than likely, they're going to be using DDR4 because it's half as much as the insane amount that DDR5 is being charged for right now. Right now, you can pick this up for $1,195. Really nice package here. However, there is one absolutely insane deal right now. This is this one. $800. Now, this PC, they used to sell it at Newegg because this is an ABS.

22:18 This is Newegg's in-house brand. They're not even listing it at Newegg right now, so I'm not quite sure what's going on, but Newegg is the shipper and seller over on Walmart on this one. And for $800, $800, an insane deal. You basically get a very similar setup. You get the i514400F, very similar to CPU to the 12600 K that we just saw. Intel ARC B582 GB, but you only get 16 GB of DDR4 here.

22:42 It's a 2x8 configuration with an air cooler. So, very similar to what we just saw. Not quite as flashy, but really, really nice. And if you can pick this up, I anywhere from 800 up to $1,000. I would do it. All right, let's jump into the best pre-built gaming PCs under $1,000 in 2026. Now, what are we looking for here? We're looking for basically an 8 gigabyte graphics card, possibly a 10 GB one.

23:06 So, we're looking for the RTX 5060, RTX 5050. Those are good GPUs. the ARC B570 10 gigabytes. Another good pickup possibly an RX960 XT 8 gigabyte although I'm not seeing a lot of those anymore. But let's jump into this one. We're probably going to end up with DDR4 and we're going to end up with more budget end CPUs to these. You can spend a little bit more money if you want and get a higherend CPU.

23:30 I don't really see the utility in it. So, I'm going to give you what I think are the best value ones right now. Let's start off with the ABS Flux 2. I like ABS. It's New Egg's in-house brand. They always are very specific about their components. Not just, hey, we're going to give you a RTX 5060, but they're going to give you the Gigabyte Windforce one.

23:49 So, they're going to even let you know the model on this for $1,29. Why is this one slightly better than some of the other ones I'm about to show you, and it's 32 gigs of DDR4 RAM. That's really it. It's got an air cooler to it. The CPU is fine. It's an i5 12400F. Basically, performs similar to that. Overall, if you're looking for something to get gaming at relatively good frame rates, 1440p a lot of the time, but you will have to either go down to medium settings on 1440p or even go to 1080p on some games.

24:15 From Thermaltch here, we've got a nice setup here. i5 14400F, relatively powerful CPU with a 16 GB kit, 2x8 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM. That's right there. You can see the two sticks. In the specs, it also says two sticks. Beware, some of the ones out there with only one stick, I just would not buy, especially DDR4, will really hammer your FPS at the 16 gigabyte barrier, especially with GPUs that only have 8 gigabytes of VRAM.

This again sold and shipped by Newegg cuz this is their in-house brand ABS.

25:06 The ABS Cyclone. This is with an effectively an i5 12400 CPU. It's Core 5120. It's a slightly downcocked 12400. It's going to perform pretty well with an RTX 5060 8 GB GPU and 16 gigs of DDR4 system RAM with a 1 TB MVME SSD. Two thumbs up. Now, there's not much of a price gap between the RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 PCs that I've seen. So, if you want to, I would jump up to a 5060 PC, but sometimes things like that 899 one are not on sale and there's a nice big price gap.

I'm not going to lie to you, but it's fine for an RTX 5050 with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM to it. It's got a 1 TB MVME SSD. You know, it's a pretty good setup here for $879.
