💡 Answer

The main fix was letting go of perfectionism and treating social media as casual sharing, then prioritizing important work over urgent work, tracking progress, using AI, and restructuring daily and weekly routines.

🧠 AI Summary

Momentum improved after making changes across mindset, business priorities, AI use, and lifestyle. Posting less-curated content more frequently reduced perfectionism and increased visibility, while prioritizing Superboba over deadline-driven sponsorships made work feel more purposeful and coincided with the brand's biggest evergreen sales day. Weekly scorecard tracking made progress and relationships between activity and sales more visible. AI reduced administrative work, and earlier workouts, protected Sundays, and preparation routines increased available energy and content consistency.

🔑 Key Points

  • Posting 13 times across two Instagram pages in four days coincided with Superboba's highest evergreen sales day since launch, while working fewer hours and feeling better.
  • For short-form content, increasing quantity creates more chances for visibility, audience insight, and improvement in filming and editing skills.
  • Choosing important work over urgent work led her to restructure the week from four days of YouTube and one possible day of Superboba to four days of Superboba and YouTube only if time remained.
  • A weekly scorecard tracking sales, Instagram posts, emails sent, and other metrics made progress and apparent relationships between activity and sales more visible.
  • Claude AI and Notion were used to reduce meeting-note work, create a promotions calendar, generate newsletter structures, and review priorities and emails.
  • Gradually shifting workouts from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. over about six months led to waking around 6:00 a.m. and starting work around 9:00 a.m. or sooner.
  • Protecting Sundays for church, self-care, and cleaning helped her recharge and avoid losing momentum at the start of the week.
  • Preparing hair and applying lash clusters ahead of time reduced the friction of turning on the camera and filming content.

✅ Actionable items

  • Share thoughts and experiences without waiting for perfect hair, makeup, scripting, filming, or editing.
  • Experiment with posting times and frequency instead of treating personal posting rules as fixed.
  • When urgent and important tasks conflict, prioritize the important task tied to the larger goal.
  • Reduce production value and accept less polished work when that protects time for higher-priority responsibilities.
  • Set boundaries by communicating delays, moving deadlines, or cancelling projects when capacity is limited.
  • Track relevant weekly activity and outcome metrics in a scorecard and review them consistently.
  • Gradually move workouts and wake times earlier rather than attempting an abrupt schedule change.
  • Reserve one day for rest, self-care, household tasks, and spiritual practice.
  • Prepare hair and other appearance-related details the night before to reduce morning filming friction.

00:00 In the last four days alone, I have seen really great results. So, not only have I been posting 13 times in the last four days across both of my Instagram pages, but I also have experienced the highest evergreen sales day that Super Bowl has ever had since we launched. And all of this happened with me working less hours and also feeling a lot better and happier with myself.

00:19 Now, not going to lie, this last year has been rough, okay? I have not been experiencing the result that I wanted, the momentum that I wanted, the reality that I wanted until I made these key changes in the last 30 days. So, in this video, I want to break down exactly what I changed within my mindset, my business, and my lifestyle that have led to this point because it's feeling good.

00:38 Like, I'm really happy with my progress, and I want you guys to feel that same momentum, too. All right, so first thing, let's talk about the mindset shifts that I've had to make. The first one is I had to stop treating social media like a content creator. One of my biggest issues for me personally that I feel is the reason why I'm not as successful as I want to be is I am too much of a perfectionist and I think it might be a millennial thing.

00:57 I don't know because I see a lot of Gen Z people just being able to whip up their phone and then yap like it's nothing and then post it right away. For me, if I have an idea or a thought, I have to put it into my notion and then I have to spend time sitting down scripting it out. Then I got to put my hair and makeup on and then I want to edit it perfectly.

01:14 I want to know the location that's going to be filmed at. If I don't say my line perfectly, I will have to refilm it over and over and over again. Problem is, by the time I'm done my highly curated video, someone else out there, for instance, these Jenzers out there, they've already posted like 10 videos on their feed. And what I've learned from social media, especially with short form content, is the name of the game is really quantity.

01:38 The more that you post, the more successful you'll likely become. Some of you guys may argue with me on that, but when it comes to quantity versus quality, I personally think that quantity gets you quality. The more that you post, not only do you have more chances to be seen, so for instance, if someone is able to post five times a day versus me who's only posting three times a week, I get what, 12 chances to be seen in a month, whereas they get 150 chances to be seen in a month.

02:04 So, who's going to have more likelihood of going viral? Who's going to have more likelihood of gaining followers? Of course, it's going to be the person that's posting more. But beyond that, the person who's posting more is getting more insight on their audience, more insight on what's working and what's not working, and more speed in terms of filming, getting more comfortable on camera.

02:20 If you're only posting, let's say, once a month, you're never really going to build up that skill of being comfortable on camera, being faster at editing. That person who's choosing quantity is going to get those skills really quickly. But then the issue becomes, how can I get that many pieces of content out? Well, for me, I thought about this and I realized the only reason why they're able to do it and get it at that speed is because they don't care as much.

02:42 They're not curating. They're not seeing themselves as content creators. They're seeing social media as like a big ass group chat and they're just sharing what's on their mind. They're connecting with others. They're putting the social back in social media. And I thought about that and I was like, that is literally what I'm not doing right now. The reason why I'm so slow with putting content out is because I spend so much of my time overthinking and curating, not necessarily just sharing.

03:07 And so I made a few switches. I stopped caring about how I look. I even posted videos with me having like a bruise under my eye. And normally I would never do that. My hair is not properly done up. Even in this video, my hair is not properly done up. I stopped caring about that. I also like just started just thinking about what's going on in my life and sharing that instead.

03:27 So, for example, I posted this video. It literally talks about this Netflix show that I'm watching and what I learned from it. Just posted it right away. It took me like a few seconds to edit it. And because I started doing this more, I started becoming more comfortable with sharing my thoughts on camera. With each video, I actually noticed that it's takes me faster and faster to get my thoughts out in a more articulate way.

03:47 I will say in the beginning, it was a bit harder. I wasn't as articulate. I had to do a few takes, but even within like what eight videos, I started to see a gradual improvement. And I also started seeing some results. Like if I combine all of these eight posts or nine posts that I posted on my feed, the combined reach is a lot higher than if I had just posted one post on my feed that week.

04:08 Not only this, I'm also sharing things that maybe are a little bit more general or random. So for instance, I posted this video where I went to the Tate McCrae concert, 200,000 views. That's more visibility to my page. Now, is it going to convert into sales? Probably not. But for me, right now, I'm just looking to get as many eyeballs on my content as possible because at the end of the day, I want more visibility for Super Bowl.

04:30 Not only this, I also just decided to the rules. Like, before I would be very rigid in my posting schedule. If I miss my 9:00 a.m. posting window, let's say, then I rather not post at all and post the next day. Well, one day I decided to just screw that rule. Screw the rule of just posting once a day. I actually posted twice a So, not only did I post one post at like what, 7:00 a.m., I also posted another thing at like 400 p.m.

04:51 or 5:00 p.m., a time that I would never post at. And that video actually did really well, which taught me that some of my rules are completely made up. And just by doing that one thing alone, it almost gave me permission to post more times in a day. And so, I think by me just experimenting and breaking these rules, it's allowed me to just realize that so many of my rules are and it's actually preventing me from growth.

05:15 And a lot of these rules I learned from being a content creator, but the moment I just pivoted to being like, I just want to connect. I just want to share. I just like, why am I so afraid to post my own freaking feed? Like, that makes no sense. It has really liberated me and I've seen really great results from it. And if you're not convinced by my own testimony, Leon told me that over on X, Sam Alman, the CEO of Chat GBT or OpenAI, he like basically answered a bunch of people's questions when it came to business.

05:41 And someone asked him, "How can I grow my business in like the fastest way possible?" And even Sam Alman was like, "You just have to post three to five times a day on organic. Just change your strategy once you hit 5 million. Like don't do anything different until you hit 5 million." And the fact that he's even saying that really opened my eyes to social media.

05:58 Now, personally for me, the only way that you can get that type of volume is you just got to have to let go of the creation side, the curation side, and just share. Because for me, being able to post 13 pieces of content in just 4 days alone, that actually took me less work than doing one video a week because I stopped caring so much about how it looked or how it's supposed to be.

06:19 And I just created it, edit it really quickly, posted it, and the more that I did it, the faster I got. Second shift that I had to make is understanding if you have to choose the urgent thing or the important thing, you need to choose the important thing first. For me, I used to always choose the urgent thing. In my case, the urgent thing was brand sponsorships because those had a deadline and they pay me pretty well.

06:37 Whereas the important thing which is growing Super Boba currently doesn't have a deadline because it's my own business and also currently doesn't pay me because we're in the startup stages. So, it's really easy for me not to want to prioritize Super Boba and instead prioritizing my brand sponsorships. But the problem is that I would end my weeks feeling like I got nothing done even though I did a lot.

06:57 Like I would feel exhausted, but I would also feel very unaccomplished. And it made me realize that I've been blinded to the urgent things and it's taking me away from my north star, from the actual thing that I want to build. And that's why I don't end my weeks feeling purposeful even though I feel busy. And so in the last 3 weeks, I've had to consciously make that shift.

07:15 I'm filming this video on a Friday. Usually, I would film this video, let's say, on a Tuesday. It would be the first thing that I would do in my week. But how I used to structure my week was like it would be 4 days of YouTube and then one day of Super Boba if I have energy or if I have time. Now it's flipped. Now I spend 4 days working on Super Boba and then if I have energy and if I have time, I'll film a YouTube video.

07:34 And that's probably why I missed an upload last week. But for me, that's the sacrifice that I'm willing to make in order to prioritize the thing that's important to me right now. The best part though about this change is I immediately saw a result. Like the moment that I shifted my days to focus more on Super Boba, which is the important thing for me, we saw our biggest day in terms of evergreen sales.

07:55 And that to me was very validating that I'm choosing the right thing. even though choosing the important thing and you know letting go of some of the urgent things was really uncomfortable. Now some of you guys might be wondering okay tactically how do you still make sure you get the urgent things done like what do you have to do? Well for me number one is I have had to make some sacrifices in terms of production value and making it easier to get the urgent thing done.

08:19 So for example this YouTube video it's a lot more chill. There's a lot less fancy tutorials and editing and I don't necessarily care if I'm saying the right like exactly line by line what I scripted because that's going to take a lot more time from Super Bowl. It's going to take a lot more time to actually film this video and get it done. I've also had to sacrifice income.

08:40 So obviously it was very uncomfortable to say goodbye to some brand deals. But luckily for me I actually saw a better result when it came to SuperMo. A much more rewarding result. It may not be the same income, but it's a lot more rewarding. And I'm ending the week, yes, still feeling tired because obviously I have to work, but I feel accomplished. I feel filled.

08:58 I feel like I'm working towards something bigger. Another thing, too, that you're going to experience once you start deprioritizing the urgent things and prioritizing the important things is discomfort. You're going to have to be okay with the discomfort of not getting back to someone right away. You're going to have to be okay with the discomfort of possibly cancing a project because now you're clear on what your capacity actually is.

09:16 you're also have to going to sit with the discomfort of moving a deadline. But the best thing about that is once you move that deadline, you know, you learn the muscle memory of setting boundaries. You learn the muscle memory and the skill of proper communication. And so I personally think you end up winning in the end, even though it feels uncomfortable right now.

09:33 Next shift that I had to make that has actually motivated me so much in the last 30 days is tracking. You cannot grow what you don't measure. And so in the last 30 days, me and Leon created this scorecard. I used to have this for my digital product business, but I don't know why I never thought to really do it for Super Boba. But we ended up creating this spreadsheet and I'll put it up right here so you can see all the metrics that we're tracking.

09:56 And as you can see, there's a bunch of different things that we're looking at, not just our sales, but also how much did we post on Instagram or how many emails did we send out? All these little nitty nitty-gritty details. And as we started tracking them every single week, every Monday, me and Leon are responsible for putting certain metrics in the table, I realized that there is a direct like correlation or some sort of effect when I post more or when I send out an email or when I do things like I see an actual

10:27 relation to our sales or something. And when I started seeing my progress and tracking it, it was incredibly motivating. I think it's the same thing as when you're working out and you're not taking before and after pictures. Like, it doesn't hit the same because you don't realize how much your diet is actually changing your body. How much you working out is actually changing your body.

10:46 And when you put it in a scorecard like this, it helps a lot. Now, I know a lot of you guys may not have a physical product business. So, I'm going to throw out my old digital product business scorecard in case you want inspiration. Now, some of you guys might be like, "Well, I don't know how to find these numbers." If you told me that maybe like four years ago, I'd be like, "Okay, you know, I understand it's hard."

11:06 But nowadays with AI, you could literally go to Claude AI, Chat, GPT, Notion, like pretty much there's so many AI companies now. You could literally ask them to help you come up with those numbers or help you with figuring out how to find those numbers. So, there really is no excuse. Now, speaking of AI, I want to talk about the next shift that I've made in my business, and that is working smarter, not harder.

11:27 And luckily AI has made it a lot easier for me to do that. Now I've always been using AI ever since I was introduced to AI. But I've been using it for pretty basic things just like asking it questions, having it help me with some content, scripting videos and stuff. But I really started to understand the power of AI. So I'm going to give you some examples.

11:45 We have a weekly meeting, right? I told you guys about that. So not only is Leon and I going through our weekly metrics, our projects, our action items, we're discussing things. But I noticed since it's just us two, I'm the one that's taking the meeting minutes and I can't like really give my all. Like I don't feel like an equal contributor because I'm just stuck multitasking.

12:02 And then I discovered this tool with notion where you hit backspace in the meeting and then there's this little integration that you can put in where it's going to transcribe and listen to your entire meeting in the background. It's going to run and then after you're done the meeting, it's going to not only give you the entire transcription, but it's also going to give you all of the action items that was discussed in the meeting, the entire summary.

12:22 and I've used it for the past month and it is so accurate. Like this is I don't even take meeting minutes anymore. I just use notion. So that's one example of how AI can really streamline your workflow. But beyond that, I also started using another AI tool called Claude AI. Now Leon actually uses Claude AI religiously. He uses it a lot, way more than Chachi PT.

12:40 And so I was like, okay, obviously you're on to something. So I ended up hopping on a call with a rep from Claude AAI and she walked me through how to truly maximize it. And I learned so much. And by the way, Cloud AI is the sponsor of today's video. They are also owned by Anthropic. And I want to share with you the three ways that I have been using Claude Aai to really work smarter, not harder.

12:58 The first thing is Cloud AI can connect to your notion directly. And it can create full-on databases for you within notion. This is something that Chachi PT can't do. So, one of the projects that I have for Super Boba is to create a promotions calendar. One opportunity that we keep missing is we don't know all of the US holidays because we're Canadian.

13:15 And we've also been missing a lot of the pop culture holidays that are related to tea, bubble tea, and milk tea. And so, one of my projects was to create a whole calendar for that so we don't miss out on sending email promotions. But obviously, I've been procrastinating on it because who wants to do that? And then I got it to create the entire promotions calendar, not just for this year, but for next year, too.

13:33 And the cool thing is that it did all of that within Notion. It created the entire database. So, I didn't have to really leave Notion. All I had to do was make a copy of it and then put it in my actual dashboard. This alone only took like five minutes. Whereas if I did it myself, it would have taken at least an hour. And one of the beautiful things is now that we have this promotions calendar, it's probably going to increase our sales because now we actually can plan our emails in time for those major holidays and for

13:58 those major events. Another thing I've been using Claude AI for is building apps that make my life a little bit easier. So for example, I do the morning milk tea club newsletter for Super Robot. It's a weekly newsletter and it follows a very specific format. We usually share one behind the scenes moment that happened in our business. One thing that I've been learning as a founder, recipe ideas.

14:17 We shout out a community member and sometimes we'll also share special promotions. The issue is when I sit down to actually write this newsletter, I may lose some ideas that I had throughout the week. And so I ask Cloud AI to build a simple app for me where it's almost like a form and it basically interviews me and asks me what happened this week, what's something I learned, all these different things.

14:36 And it will also have the date of when the newsletter is coming out, the volume, all of those things. and when I fill it out, it'll automatically generate the newsletter for me. What I also love about this app is that when I fill things out on the fly, whether it's on desktop or on mobile, it's automatically going to save it. So, I don't have to feel the pressure of needing to think through everything in one sitting.

14:54 And then once I get the generated newsletter, I at least have the structure done. And now I'm able to add my own zest and my own personality into it. And that alone has saved me a lot of time. It used to take me what, four hours to write a newsletter. Now, it takes me less than an hour because Claude AAI has helped me not only format everything, but also capture my ideas.

15:12 Lastly, another cool thing that I've been doing with Claude AAI is since it connects to not just my notion, but also my Google calendar and my email, I'm able to really treat Claude AAI as my personal assistant. So, since it has all the information about my business, what I'm usually working on, when I'm working on it, when I log in, I'm able to program Claude AAI to just tell me what my top priorities are and what my schedule is like.

15:35 So, literally like an EA. And if I ever feel scattered, I can also ask Claude Aai to review where my time sucks are, where am I spending the most time on since it has access to all of the major platforms that I'm using. And then with the help of Claude AI, it can really help me understand where I can rep prioritize and refocus my energy. And of course, another way that I'm using Claude as my personal assistant is since it has access to my emails, I then simply ask it which emails do I need to respond to?

16:02 Because for me, I get a lot of pitches. I get a lot of spam emails and sometimes even I don't want to look at my inbox and so with cla it's able to really understand what is worth responding to and it will also draft those responses for me. So far I can really see why Leon is such a huge fan of cla and if you want to try it for free too then click the link in my description box in my comment section below.

16:22 Now I want to talk about some lifestyle changes that I've made in the last 30 days that have really helped my productivity when it comes to work. First one is I've trained myself to wake up earlier. And this has been actually a six-month process, but in the last 30 days, I've been a lot more consistent with it. So, hear me out. I am not a morning person.

16:38 I always told everyone that I was not a morning person back then. I usually wake up around 9:00 a.m. I don't start my workday until 10:00. That kind of changed when I started to work with a personal trainer. So, I used to train with my trainer at like 10:00 a.m. But then I noticed by the time that I was done working out, it would be 11:00. Then I got to shower, put on my makeup, and then I got to make lunch.

17:00 And then it takes me a while to get into the groove of things and understand what is a priority back then. And so I wouldn't really start work until 2 p.m. And so my working window was really small. And I wasn't able to accomplish as much as I wanted to. And so slowly but surely, I started moving up my personal training sessions earlier and earlier.

17:17 So, it went from 10:00 a.m., then 9:00 a.m., then 8:00 a.m., and now I'm working out at 7:00 a.m., which has forced me to wake up at 6:00 a.m. And I've really enjoyed this schedule for a few reasons. Number one, it took me about 6 months to gradually wake up earlier. And then also, by the time I'm done my workout, it's still 8:00 a.m. And so, I'm really starting my day exactly at 9:00 a.m.

17:39 or sooner, which I really appreciate because I'm able to get a lot more work done. And that has allowed me to actually work on the important things over the urgent things. And so there is something to be said about the benefit of waking up earlier and also understanding that it does take months to train yourself to that. And for me, what worked was actually having some sort of consequence if I don't wake up early.

18:03 And now I find myself naturally waking up earlier because of the six months of me training myself to wake up earlier. But that probably wouldn't have happened for me if I didn't like sign up for personal training. Because if I miss a session and I oversleep, I'm going to have to still pay for that session. So for me, what works in terms of motivation is losing money or some sort of physical consequence, like monetary consequence.

18:25 For you, it may be something different. Maybe it's not necessarily a painful outcome. Maybe it's something that you can look forward to in the morning that you want to wake up for. For me, I wasn't able to find that reason, and so I really had to find a more painful reason to wake up. Now, I naturally wake up around like 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. Speaking of which, I've also found really great results in training in the morning.

18:46 I know this is a personal preference. Some people like training after work, but exercise has been a huge thing for me. I find myself having so much more stamina than I did 2 years ago. Because I exercise now, I feel like I have more energy, not just to work, but to also go out on the weekends. Because 2 years ago, 3 years ago, four years ago, I'd be working so much and Leon and I barely went out because all like my weekends were meant for recharging.

19:11 Like I couldn't even see my friends, my family because I was so tired. And ever since working out, it has really really helped me with my stamina. And specifically, working out in the morning has kind of trained me to do the hard thing first and allows me to have a better day later because I feel more accomplished the moment I go to the gym first thing in the morning.

19:30 Other shifts that I've made in my lifestyle that have allowed me to have better work days, better weekends is keeping my Sunday sacred. Now, for me, it's really easy for me to give away my Sunday to friends and family because every other day is booked up. So, I'm like, "Okay, great. My calendar, Sunday's free, so you can have it." And what I noticed with that is I would feel like on Mondays and I wouldn't really get into the groove of things until like Wednesday.

19:53 Like my Tuesday was basically my Monday and my Monday was basically what my Sunday should be. And so I've really been very strict with not making plans on Sundays. My Sundays are literally reserved for God, self-care, and cleaning my house. Okay? So every Sunday, Leon and I go to church. After church, we go home, we eat, and then we both do our self-care routine.

20:11 For me, what my self-care routine looks like is putting my lash clusters on, putting my hair in a hair mask, putting my face in a face mask, watching Netflix, reading a book, doing red light therapy, doing whatever it takes for me to feel like I'm fully taking care of myself and recharging. And then the third shift that has also helped me when it comes to filming more content, being more consistent with content is that self-care routine, but also my night care routine.

20:38 On Sundays, I mentioned I always do my lash clusters. The reason why I am so meticulous with every Sunday I replace my lashes is because if I don't have lashes on, I don't feel as comfortable with turning on the camera and filming. And for me, I could have literally no makeup on, but as long as I have my lashes, I will still be willing to hit record on the camera and film content.

21:01 So, that alone has helped with my consistency. And that's why I I always reserve Sundays to put on my lash clusters, which literally only take like what, less than half an hour, 20 minutes. I use Wink Click. And what I basically do is with my lash clusters, I put on the glue, I wait for the glue to settle, and then I put it under my eyes, and then it lasts a whole week for me.

21:20 Now, speaking on the topic of being camera ready and being more consistent with creating content, if I feel really tired, no matter what, I will still do my night care routine. And what my night care routine looks like is making sure my hair is straightened and somewhat curled. so that the next morning I don't have to spend as much time styling my hair.

21:36 I typically have a lot more discipline at night to do my hair care routine so that I can set myself up for a better day. This allows me to be able to wake up and pretty much immediately turn on the camera because I know at least my hair is done. If my hair is a mess and it's all curly and it's like kind of wet and kinky, I'm going to have to spend time straightening it.

21:53 I'm going to have to spend time taking care of it. And then that's time taken away from actually filming. Not only this, when I wake up and as I'm getting ready, I will put a little bit of blush on. Like, it's literally just a little stick that I have, I dot it on my face to bring life back into me. And again, that has allowed me to create more videos.

22:12 I'm totally fine now with making videos in the morning. Whereas before, I wouldn't make any type of video until the afternoon until my whole glam is set up. But because I've learned to not care so much about that, but also set myself up for success. So, I am still a little bit comfortable on camera. It has made all the difference in terms of my output.

22:30 But anyways guys, I hope that these little shifts help you as much as they've helped me in the last 30 days. I am really happy with my progress so far and I really hope that I can keep it up. Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below. And if you like this video and you're still feeling a little bit overwhelmed with content, let's say, then I recommend that you watch this video next. As always, I love you guys and I will see you in the next one. Bye guys and take care.
