00:00 Exponential technologies are counterintuitive in that very little does something, a little bit more does everything. And in the first time in human history that we encountered an exponential technology, it was nuclear weapons. >> This is one of the greatest explanations on cryptocurrency and exponential growth of all time. >> Typically with explosives, they scale linearly.
00:22 More bombs, more explosive power. With nuclear weapons, just a little bit more, then suddenly you could end the earth. This is Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson speaking at the United Nations. And while humans, you and me, humans throughout all of human history were most used to linear growth versus exponential growth. Why is that? It's how cities were formed.
00:41 It's how you traveled. It's how money was made, right? Linear is 1 plus 1 is 2 + 1 is 3 + 1 is 4 + 1 is 5 6 7 8 9 10. We see this sort of growth in most businesses before the internet, right? You grow step by step every year. We see linear growth in learning like getting an education. You go from first grade next year second grade then third grade to fourth grade.
01:08 You build it. These are linear steps versus exponential which is not 1 + 1 is 2 is 3 is four is 5. No, it's 2 to 4 to 8 to 16 to 32 to the thousands in a roughly similar if not shorter amount of time. If you're invested in cryptocurrency, every single person needs to understand what's happening now. This is happening with crypto now. This is the present.
01:32 I'm going to share with you three minutes of this, then I'll react. >> And in the first time in human history that we encountered an exponential technology, it was nuclear weapons. You typically with explosives, they scale linearly, more bombs, more explosive power. With nuclear weapons, just a little bit more, then suddenly you could end the Earth.
01:50 And we didn't really understand what that meant till we used it. Then we realized that we had to create a comprehensive regulatory structure for it. And most of the 20th century, the second half of the 20th century was influenced or in some cases principally guided by the existence of these weapons. Then the internet comes around. It's our next exponential technology, computing and the internet.
02:15 And then suddenly we could all just talk to each other instantaneously and for free. And you know that seems counter that seems like natural state of affairs, but if you're old enough, you remember that sometimes it take months to find out that something had happened. If you lived in England uh during the 19th century and uh you traveled to one of the colonies, if the queen died, you wouldn't probably know about it for 3 months to six months.
02:40 Imagine that. You live in an empire and the head of the empire, you don't even know that they're dead. It's why in the Catholic Church when the pope died, they'd break the fisherman's ring because they didn't want anybody impersonating him for months and months and months and using that ring as a signet to seal paple bulls in his name. So now we live in a world where I was on my ranch.
02:59 I have this beautiful ranch out Wyoming, middle of damn nowhere. You know, it's a medicine bow national forest and I have a satellite connection and suddenly my phone pings and I saw headline happened 30 seconds earlier that Trump had been shot, you know, while he was running for office in 2024. Can you imagine that? Just middle of nowhere, 30 seconds after an event happens in Pennsylvania, suddenly you're aware of something.
03:26 It's just truly extraordinary. And our governments, our technology, um our social structures, our money wasn't really built for a world where everything is instantaneous and everything that happens everywhere in the world influences in some ways, small or large, the things that happen in your world. Then we have more exponential technologies coming, not just the internet.
03:51 Now we have AI. That's another exponential technology. Inference is scaling at a rate we've never seen before. You know, Opus 4.5 came out last year. That was incredible. It was an amazing moment. Multi- trillion parameter model. Now we have Quen 38 27B just as powerful as Opus 4.5, but it's 99.8% smaller and it runs on your laptop instead of a data center.
04:17 So every year you're getting like a two to three order of magnitude efficiency improvement. So intelligence is basically becoming ubiquitous and universal and all this amazing infrastructure and tooling is open source and just like the internet you can have it pretty much anytime that you want. Charles is making the case to the United Nations meaning all the nations of the world about what is happening with cryptocurrency right now.
04:43 He he's basically saying don't regulate it and and make your nation not relevant. If you want your nation to be relevant, you're you have to start understanding what's going on and you have to start saying this is open source. We can have verifiable identity online. This is good for your nation. You just have to embrace it. Like the internet, yeah, bad bad people could use the internet, but adopting and regulating the internet was good for your nation.
05:06 And again, this is not the future. This is the present. This is tokenized equities meaning the amount of realworld assets like US dollars with stable coins or just real estate or anything you want to be verified on the blockchain. The exponential growth we have just started to see. And for perspective, this is the beginning of January of 2025. This is when President Donald Trump took office and he got a new SEC chair and a new CFTC chair and they were all speaking about, oh, we're going to this is project crypto.
05:38 we're going to tokenize uh the we're truly going to tokenize the the equities market all these traditional markets we're going to bring this on chain but then what started as a crawl in a blink of an eye seemingly everything is now moving on chain because it's a better mousetrap you can settle it in instant finality it's cheaper it's faster and while even just at the beginning of this year the total amount of equities tokenized onchain was about6 of a billion we're now at 3 billion this is exponential growth growth.
06:08 It is happening right now. All while the market, the Bitcoin price hasn't really caught on yet, right? I mean, just just the 6 to3 that started right here. Price has consolidated down. The market doesn't understand the revolution is happening now. Five coins. First coin. Look at this clip. This is the founder of chainlink on a panel speaking to leadership at BNP Parabus which is a leading French multi- international universal bank and financial services holding company.
06:42 This is Tradfi. This is Cryptophy. The growth is happening right here. And not even Tradfi understands it there. This is a pretty dry clip, but listen for the zing Sergey gives Tradfi. They're talking about T+1, which is settling a major any major transaction. It used to be T+ three or T+2. Oh, it would take three days. It would take two days. No, we're going to take one day if that.
07:05 Listen for the zing. >> Sergey, I I suppose the one of the key reasons why a lot of these markets are moving to T+1 is there's this view that things should be quicker, things should be more instant. Retail investors are coming in and they can't understand why they have to wait 3 days to do things. So are you seeing that on the digital asset side where with it being implemented within capital markets that it is that need for need for speed basically?
07:36 >> Yeah. I I think basically what you're going to have with with digital assets, tokenized cash, uh specifically whether that's a tokenized deposit, a stable coin, a CBDC, is that that's going to make um all of this demanded even more by your clients and users. So, sorry about that. But, uh I think that's that's definitely going to happen. Um I think it's already happening in in some cases.
08:01 Yes. And there's there's a lot of banks that you know I know we're working with that are basically making tokenized deposit chains of their own. >> Coin number two, look for real revenue, real businesses with real revenue. By the way, to buy, sell, or trade any of the coins mentioned in today's video, check out exchange partner Coinbase, how to trade crypto, trade per, trade stocks, and more.
08:23 Step-by-step tutorial link down below. And for the best trading experience possible and 80% cheaper fees, use referral code altcoin daily as well as get up to hundreds of dollars in bonuses. Again, I like to pick my favorite coin, pick my favorite stock. They also have preipo companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, but I just like a dollar cost average, but as I dollar cost average, dollar cost average, dollar cost average, 80% cheaper fees are going to really add up.
08:52 And this is on one of the most respected, most regulated exchanges possible. This is Coinbase. So again, take advantage of the opportunities link down below. And again, pay attention to the crypto coins that are real companies doing real revenue. If I had to make a list, the top six buyback and burn coins to know into next year is hype, pumpf fun, unis swap, ray, lit, ponds, also swissborg doing buybacks.
09:18 Why is this relevant? is because crypto while 5 years ago complete speculation it was it was hype there was nothing really that the tokens didn't really acrue the value if the businesses were doing anything real at all that's not true anymore for select tokens and protocols that's simply just not true bitensor product revenue bitensor product revenue grew 40% this last month it's now $50 million ARR as you know if you bet on Bitensor it's not just betting on one early stage AI or robotics company.
09:49 You're betting on hundreds of early stage AI and robotics company and the bad ones are pushed out and the new ones and new ones step up and the best ones grow to the top all in bitensor while the AI products produced by bitensor subnets those are the companies are getting paying customers meaning there's real revenue just based on the data this is from subconnect they say when we released the bit tensor revenue index one month ago it was 32 2 to 35 million annualized tow subnet revenue.
10:23 Today it's 50 million plus. That's more than 40% month overmonth growth. When we published the report, we projected Bit Tensor could reach $und00 million in annualized subnet revenue by year end. If this pace continues, that estimate may have been too conservative. Exponential growth is happening today, not tomorrow. Today. I love this chart. Global macro investor Raul Pal loves this chart.
10:51 And again, another example of exponential growth. This not with crypto, but remember electricity from 1990 to 2025. So this is not something that only happened 100 years ago. The world is getting faster and faster. I love this chart. In 1993, the German electricity companies said renewables could never supply more than 4% of the country's power. That was the ceiling 4%.
11:17 Last year they supplied 55.9%. 14 times the ceiling. It's the psychology of incumbents meeting exponential change. They extrapolate from the flat part of the curve and the ceiling turns out to be a speed bump. Same story in AVs, in crypto, in AI. Impossible then inevitable. Raul Pal will be joining me for an interview back on Altcoin Daily in about a month.
11:45 Click subscribe, have notifications on. You do not want to miss these conversations. Cryptocurrency is in the exponential age. Now is the time to tune back in. And remember, if you subscribe to Altcoin Daily, number one, you are informed, but number two, you are a smarter investor, I believe. So, we understand pullbacks will happen, right? If tomorrow Bitcoin dips by 25%, oh, you were wrong.
12:09 You were wrong. No, no, guys. I'm talking big picture number one and number two pullbacks. The worse the pullback is, the better opportunity that is if you believe in the long-term fundamental mega trend, which I do. I do. Click the like button if you made it this far. See you tomorrow.
