Dubbing Spanish versions of business and creator videos is a viable, overlooked side hustle: charge $300 per video ($500/month for two videos per client), use OpenArt's lip-sync leaderboard to pick the top model (Seedance 2.5), and pitch five customer types with a free-sample DM.
Translate a business's existing videos into Spanish with AI lip-sync so the mouth matches the audio, and charge per video or a monthly subscription. One in seven people in the US speaks Spanish at home, yet almost no local business has a Spanish version of their ads or website videos. AI lip-sync removes the only blocker that made dubbing unaffordable: reshooting with a Spanish-speaking actor.

00:00 There are 44 million people in the United States who speak Spanish at home. That's one out of every seven people. And I want you to think about the last plumber, dentist, roofer, or gym in your town that had a Spanish version of their ad or of their YouTube channel or the little video on their website. Oh, wait. Yeah. Nobody. Nobody has a Spanish version, even though one in seven people speak Spanish at home.
00:20 And you can fix that for them for a fee in about 20 minutes and charge 300 bucks per video to do it. And I know this because I've been dubbing my own channel into 13 languages. And it took me forever to figure out how to make the mouth match the audio. Today, it's just going to be a leaderboard and one upload. I'm going to show you how to do this so you can make money at it.
00:43 I'm going to build this business for you right here on camera. And by the end of this video, you're going to have the exact prompt that I use. It's in a free doc in the description. You're going to have the five types of customers to pitch to first and the exact text message that I send a business owner to get the first yes. And at the end, I'm going to send that text to a real business owner here in my town and show you what they say back.
01:07 No audience plants. And if they say no, you'll see the no. It might be a little embarrassing, but whatever. Okay. So, the business we're talking about here is Spanish video dubbing for local businesses and creators. What is dubbing? It's adding a foreign language to a video in your native language and the mouth will actually match. It's magical and only possible with AI.
01:28 Singapore has always been a meeting point, not just a destination. I'm going to use a website called Open Art to do this. And specifically, this is a thing called Open Art Arena, which is a leaderboard that tells you which AI model is the very best at any specific job. What I'm showing you here is which AI model is the best at lip syncing. not on the Tonight's Show, but syncing the language with the lips on the video.
02:07 Okay, Open Art is a partner of the show and I use it in my own business. Links below. Okay, let's go. But before I touch anything, here's why this is even a business and why no one's doing it. So, dubbing's been around forever. The problem wasn't the translation, it's the mouth. When the lips don't match the words, it looks like a kung fu movie from 1978.
02:29 And no business owner wants that on their website. So, for years, the only option was to hire a Spanish-sp speakaking actor, re-shoot the entire video, and pay for a second edit. But nobody's going to do that for a $2,000 a month roofing ad. So, they just skip a whole seventh of their market. And here's how the math breaks down. You charge 300 bucks a video.
02:53 A business post two videos a month. So, that's like 500 to 600 bucks a month per client. Get 10 clients, and you're at six grand a month for something that takes you an afternoon. And the reason that they pay you is that they can't do the mouth sinking part themselves. They've tried or they don't even know that it's possible. If they did try, it probably look terrible.
03:14 But you're going to show up with a version that looks real. And that is the whole sale here. I'm trying shade 11 today. Let's see how it looks up close on the lips. [music] Okay, here are the five types of customers to pitch. First, number one, home services, roofers, plumbers, HVAC, landscaping. They're already running video ads in Spanish. They're already serving Spanish-speaking homeowners, and their competitors have zero Spanish content.
03:55 Okay. Number two, dentists and med spas, like the white lab coat type stuff. It's high ticket. There's tons of video on their sites and a huge Spanish-sp speakaking patient base in most of the country. And number three, real estate agents. There's over two million of these guys. They post a walkthrough video every single week. One video, two languages, twice the leads.
04:17 And number four, YouTubers with over a 100,000 subscribers like me. There's a lot more of them out there than you might believe. But this is a whole different pitch entirely. You're going to sell them whole new countries, new languages because YouTube lets you upload extra audio tracks. So, one dubbed track can open up Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Costa Rica on a video that they've already put time and money into.
04:41 And number five, this is the one I'm gonna build for you today. It's the guy at the farmers market, food trucks, farmers market vendors, takiieras, small restaurants, because I already have lazily I I already have a farmers market video that I shot. I don't want to shoot another video. And because those owners are the easiest people in the world to text, that's a very important part of this.
05:04 Okay, but before I start building, I want to cover one thing. You're going to hear me say the word leaderboard a bunch. And here's all what I mean by that. There's like a dozen AI video models right now and seemingly a new one every week that says that it's solved lip sync. Okay, I don't have time to test them all and neither do you. So, Open Art has this thing called Arena where a panel of people, experts, look at two outputs side by side with their names hidden.
05:30 It's like a blind test and they pick the better one thousands and thousands of times. It's a taste test with the labels ripped off. Then they're ranking the models by job. There's a leaderboard for ads, for animation, and yes, one for lip-sync, which is the one we care about today. Don't overthink it. Look at the board. The leaderboard. Run with the top model.
05:51 Go. Okay, here is the lipsync leaderboard. The top model is seed dance 2.5. Don't even know what that is. Okay, so we're going to click on that. It opens up this page and we're going to generate a video with this model. Okay, and here's the video I'm going to upload. looks like this. That makes thousands of dollars a Okay, it's just me talking head.
06:15 It's in my Google Photos right now. I'm going to download it. Boom. Okay, so I'm logged into Open Art. I have Seed Dance 2.5 because remember that was number one on the LipSync leaderboard. I'm going to upload that video that I just showed you. Okay, it's uploading. This is how simple my prompt is. Take the audio from this video and translate and dub it into Spanish.
06:31 Keep my voice, keep the pacing, and match the lip movement to the Spanish audio. That's it. That's the whole prompt. Don't overthink it. Boom. Generate. Okay. So, while this is cooking, here's what I want you to hear. If you don't want to sell this to anyone, it's okay. You can still use it for your own stuff. I've been dubbing my channel, this channel, into 13 different languages for a while now.
06:57 And it makes me more money because I can sell ads in those other countries. It took me a ton of work to build that pipeline, but this is the exact shortcut I wish that I had. So, if you have a channel, videos, family videos, whatever, podcast, course, anything with your face on it, this is free money you're leaving in a language that you don't speak.
07:12 Okay, here it is. Here's what we got. [laughter] That's wild. My lips are speaking Spanish. This is literally the first time in my life I've ever seen this. I've ever seen the different dub match the lips. Wild. Okay. Took about a minute or two. Okay, we're going to go back to the lip sync leaderboard. We're going to go to one of these lower ranked models, Miniax H3, and we're going to try the same prompt with the same clip to see how they look.
07:49 I just want you guys to see I'm not like cherrypicking the perfect clip with the perfect model. I'm actually quite curious to see what comes out here. Okay, right here. Miniax H3. There it is. Miniax H3. And we've got the exact same video. Okay. Different model, exact same prompt. We're going to generate it. And we wait. All right. Different model.
08:07 Let's see what we got. Okay. So, I don't I took four years of Spanish in high school. It's been a good 20 something years since then. But uh that looks like a bunch of mumble jumble approximately 90 speed. That doesn't Yeah, it's not as good. Maybe it's just confirmation bias. I don't think it's as good. Anyway, moving on. And it took about 600 seconds, so 10 minutes to generate.
08:40 So much slower. And it costs more in credits even. Anyway, that's the whole point of the leaderboard. It told me that before I burned a single token. So, if I'd started here, I'd have spent an hour convincing myself lipsync just isn't ready yet for prime time, and I would have been wrong. All right, this is the output differences as well. Okay, now it's time for where the real money is made.
08:59 I'm going to take an actual video that could be an ad for a farmers market business and do the same thing. Do the dubbed lip sync as if I were getting paid to make this ad for a farmers market business. Okay. And I took this video myself with my metagasses when I was at a farmers market in Utah, uh, talking to some dudes, BYU students, that made candles.
09:16 So, so we're going to go to upload video. Upload video right there. This kind of a bigger video. It's 5 minutes long, 120 megabytes. But the simple thing is I'm going to leave the prompt the exact same. Take the audio from this video and translate and dub it into Spanish. Keep my voice, keep the pacing, and match the lip movement to the Spanish audio.
09:39 Then, of course, I realized that Cance 2.5 is the better model as it suggested. So, I'm going to pick that. Okay, we don't want it to be five minutes long because no ad is five minutes long. So, we're going to trim it down to 30 seconds and see what comes out. 10 bucks. Yeah. So, yeah, it's an average market look like for you. Kind of the same. This is actually also This is like my third and it's usually like around the same amount.
10:04 We do like between 15 and 20 sales. Okay. All right. So, I'm going to use this clip because he's talking about his business and how markets typically go for him and how many sales he does. But, I like it because you can see him talking. You can see the logo in the video. You can see his mouth moving because what's the point of this cool lip sync technology if you can't even see that his lips are synced to the Spanish.
10:24 It's not like overtly selling his product. It's kind of talking around his product. So, it's not too obvious. So, I think this 30 second segment would perform better than the average. I'm going to hit confirm here. Okay, it's generating. Let's see what comes out. All right, here we go. Let's check. Freaking awesome. Love it. Love it. Love it. This is the real thing.
10:54 Now, pricing is everything, okay? You really want to play around with the pricing of these videos until you find equilibrium, aka what people are willing to pay. From the outset, you have no testimonials, you have no reviews, no case studies, no credibility, nothing. So, it's even worth it to do these for free, just to get a testimonial. But after that, I think low to mid hundreds per video or even charge by the minute or by the second because some videos might be long and you want to charge extra for those.
11:16 Okay, now I'm going to record my iPhone screen and show you my DM to some farmers market vendors here in my area in North Texas and let's see if we can get a response. All right, I'm going to say this. I was at the farmers market and loved it. I made a Spanish version of one of your videos for free. No catch. Want me to send it over? If it brings in customers, I can do two a month for $500.
11:38 And now we wait. And the magic of this DM is the word free. No one's going to say no to a free thing that's already made. Keep in mind, I'm not trying to hedge already. I don't know how this is going to play out. I'm only sending one DM, okay? The response rate on a DM could be in the single digits, maybe low double digits. So, statistics are not in my favor, but you got to shoot your shot regardless.
11:59 Okay? So obviously here is my YouTube channel and I want to show you how this works on YouTube. Anyway, you click settings on any YouTube video you're watching as a viewer and you go to audio track, right? So when I go to Arabic on this video, watch our lips and listen to what you hear. You can clearly see that the lips do not match, right? So, if they did, these would perform even better.
12:34 But I want to show you I want to show receipts here of what this means to someone that publishes videos when you publish them in other languages. So, I'm going to go to this breakdown right here and look up audio track and we're going to go last 365 days. And you can see exactly when I started dubbing. Look at that. Right around there. That's Russian.
12:51 Spanish. I did this late April 2026. Turkish. These are all views that I would not have received otherwise. And I make about on my foreign views, I make like $8 per thousand views. So, I'm getting over a million views per month. So, that's $8,000 extra dollars a month that I would not have gotten otherwise. So, this works. It works because I built a custom app for myself using duct tape.
13:15 But, Open Art will do this with just a couple clicks. And your token costs will be a tiny tiny percentage of what you're able to charge for these. 10 clients, 500 bucks a month each is 5,000 bucks a month. Pick a niche, something you're familiar with. If you delivered pizzas, do this for pizza shops. If you're a server in a restaurant, do it for restaurants.
13:35 Worked in an oil change place, you get the idea. You don't need a college degree. You don't need a bunch of um experience, but preferably you work in an industry that either you have experience with or you like or you have some knowledge in. Doing this on open art is an insane asymmetric bet, right? The potential reward is much much greater than the potential risk of a few tokens.
13:55 Obviously, Open Art supports this channel. I support and use them. It is a great tool. I've got a free doc in the description with the prompts, all of these instructions, the models you want to use. Go send a text to someone. Go send a DM. Shoot your shot over and over and over again. Sadly, maybe not a surprise to most of you, I did not get a response to that DM.
14:16 So, I got to send more DMs. I'm not going to fake anything. If you don't want to put in a bunch of work just to tell them that you already made a video for them, then tell them that you will make a video for them or send them the actual video proactively if they don't respond to you first. In fact, I think I'm going to try that now. One DM does not the business make a thousand, 100 cold texts, LinkedIn messages.
14:33 Guys, I have so many videos on cold outreach. You have so many tools in your tool belt right now. Thanks for hanging out on the Crer
