Airbyte Context Store

Airbyte Agent MCP is a hosted remote Model Context Protocol server that connects compatible AI agents to users' connected data services through Airbyte connectors. It authenticates through an Airbyte account and each connector's credentials or OAuth scopes, allowing agents to read and write data on the user's behalf across CRM, support, analytics, and other platforms. Airbyte hosts and manages the server, so no local installation is required; compatible clients connect to https://mcp.airbyte.ai/mcp and authenticate through OAuth. Airbyte documents support for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, and Visual Studio Code. The service is intended for conversational, prompt-driven access, while Airbyte recommends its CLI for large result sets, many sequential calls, long-running operations, offline and CI workflows, or shell composition.

Airbyte Agent CLI (airbyte-agent) is a Go command-line interface from Airbyte for AI agents, scripts, CI jobs, and shell-capable agent harnesses. It uses JSON input and output, consistent noun-verb commands, a bundled agent skill, and non-interactive operation. Agents can create connectors, inspect entities, actions, and schemas, search and read data, and execute read or write actions across more than 50 business systems through Airbyte's Context Store. The CLI supports schema inspection before operations and reports failures as typed JSON on stderr, with errors such as authentication, not-found, and rate-limit conditions. It can be installed with an install script, Homebrew, or a GitHub release binary, and credentials are kept in a local settings file while third-party credentials are entered through a browser widget.
