Amber Console

Amber Console is a monochrome amber-terminal CSS framework for web interfaces styled like late-1980s industrial control panels. It uses brightness, inverse video, and blinking rather than hue for hierarchy; 4px half-cell spacing based on a character grid; and stroked borders instead of elevation. The framework includes framed controls, instrument-style readouts, multiple palettes, and optional CRT-like effects such as ghosting, scroll smear, framebuffer decay, residual patches, and phosphor afterimages. It is distributed as a stylesheet with no dependencies, build step, or JavaScript required for component appearance; optional JavaScript modules add behavior and persistence effects. The project provides CSS and JavaScript distribution builds and can be installed with a link tag or imported as a package.
