Argo CD

Argo Workflows is an open-source, container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes. It is implemented as a Kubernetes Custom Resource Definition: each workflow step runs as a container, and multi-step processes can be modeled either as ordered steps or as a directed acyclic graph (DAG). It supports machine-learning pipelines, data and batch processing, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD. The project provides workflow templating, artifact and parameter inputs and outputs, loops, conditionals, retries, timeouts, scheduling, suspension and resumption, resource orchestration, garbage collection, event triggers, and Prometheus metrics. It includes a web UI, CLI, REST and gRPC server interfaces, workflow archiving, log viewing, and Java, Go, Python through Hera, and TypeScript through Juno client libraries. Argo Workflows is a graduated Cloud Native Computing Foundation project and can run on Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments.

argo9s is a K9s-inspired terminal user interface for monitoring Argo CD resources in real time. It watches Applications, ApplicationSets, and AppProjects through either the Kubernetes API, using kubeconfig or in-cluster access, or the Argo CD HTTP API with token authentication. The interface provides list and type views, project/name/sync filters, keyboard navigation, application resource graphs, pod logs, live YAML, and describe and edit actions. It is read-only by default, with optional synchronization, refresh, suspend/resume, autosync, and delete actions when a connection is configured as writable. Connections can be stored as named profiles in ~/.argo9s/config.yaml, and an offline --demo mode provides sample applications. The project is written in Go, distributed as a Homebrew package, Go installation, or release binary, and licensed under the MIT License.

Flux is an open-source continuous delivery and GitOps solution for keeping Kubernetes clusters synchronized with configuration sources such as Git repositories and OCI artifacts. It is built on the GitOps Toolkit, a set of Kubernetes APIs and controllers for source management, Kustomize and Helm deployments, notifications, and image automation; its controllers reconcile custom resources to apply and update cluster state. Flux supports multiple Git repositories and multi-tenancy, and can deliver Helm releases and charts. The project is a graduated Cloud Native Computing Foundation project.

Kubernetes (K8s) is an open-source container orchestration system hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. It manages containerized applications across multiple hosts, providing mechanisms for deploying, maintaining, scaling, and scheduling workloads. Applications can be configured with YAML and deployed across hybrid-cloud environments; the platform is also used for production operations involving storage, databases, networking, and security hardening.

Cast AI is a Kubernetes optimization platform for cloud-native teams. It uses workload, infrastructure, cost, and SLO signals to automate actions such as pod rightsizing, node scaling, GPU and Spot optimization, workload replica and resource tuning, bin packing, and operational remediation with approval workflows. The platform connects to EKS, AKS, GKE, and on-premises clusters without requiring cluster changes.
