Argo Workflows is an open-source Kubernetes-native workflow engine hosted by the Argo Project. It defines and runs container-based, directed acyclic graph and step workflows as Kubernetes resources, supporting self-managed deployment on Kubernetes.
It is a Kubernetes workflow system that remains a valid option, particularly where everything must be self-managed. Viktor says he would generally choose Tekton instead for that use case.
