arXiv

arXiv is an open-access repository of scholarly preprints (e-prints) operated by Cornell University Library. It hosts papers across physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and economics, assigns persistent arXiv identifiers, provides full-text (PDF/TeX) and metadata, and exposes content via its website, OAI-PMH and a public API; submissions are subject to basic moderation and some categories require endorsement. The service is free to read and is funded and governed through Cornell University Library together with a membership program and institutional/foundation supporters (including the Simons Foundation).
