Anima

Anima is a Claude Code skill that turns biology prompts into interactive, sourced, isometric figures delivered as standalone HTML pages. It collects sources before drawing, uses an isometric drawing kit with biology primitives, builds a mechanism that can be toggled or otherwise manipulated, and uses one small model to drive both the animation and a live readout. Figures cite every displayed number, distinguish established findings from leading models and animal from human evidence, and include hover explanations, source links, simplification notes, and an educational-use disclaimer. The repository includes example figures covering subjects such as dopamine receptors, stimulants, reward circuits, semaglutide and GLP-1, estrogen, and myelinated neurons, along with scripts for building, capturing, checking, and recording figures. It can be installed with `npx skills add Garinmckayl/anima -g -a claude-code`, requires Claude Code and Node.js 20.10 or later, uses no runtime dependencies, and is released under the MIT license.

What Anima is used for

1 use taken from transcripts — each links to the moment in the video.

  • A Claude skill that turns a biology question into an interactive isometric figure in a single HTML page; ask about a myelinated neuron or how a GLP-1 drug works on a pancreatic cell and it gathers sources first then draws, with every figure having a mechanism you can toggle and a live readout powered by a small model, each on-screen number citing its source.
