Codenotch is a macOS app that pins a small notch to a screen edge and displays usage limits, reset windows, and activity states for coding assistants including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Antigravity, and GLM. It can show whether a provider is working, finished, or waiting for user input, with separate rings for separate Claude Code profiles and live session details on hover. Each provider adapter reads credentials, sessions, logs, databases, language-server RPCs, or provider endpoints already used by the corresponding local tool; Codenotch does not sign in to services itself. A UsageStore polls the adapters, preserves the last good reading across launches, labels each reading by fidelity, and exposes failures as statuses such as stale, needsAuth, or error rather than inventing a percentage. The notch can be placed on any screen edge, expands when approached, and can be configured to show or hide its Dock and menu-bar icons. The app is written for macOS, supports a demo mode with fixed sample data, and uses Sparkle for signed background updates. Screendrop is a native, local-first macOS menu bar application for capturing, annotating, recording, editing, compressing, and sharing screenshots and screen recordings. It captures displays, windows, or selected areas; provides configurable hotkeys and after-capture workflows; and includes a floating preview stack, offline History, non-destructive annotation with redaction and mockup effects, and a recording studio with separate screen, camera, microphone, system-audio, cursor, click, and keystroke data. Captures, projects, annotation sidecars, and transcripts remain on the Mac unless explicitly uploaded, and there is no central Screendrop account or hosted server. macTilt is a native macOS application that renders a 3D clamshell-fold animation as a MacBook lid closes. It reads the lid angle sensor and uses the live display, wallpaper, or other captured desktop content as the folding surface; the image remains fixed in space while the screen hardware moves through it, progressively blurring and fading to black. When the lid is open, the overlay is hidden and click-through, with no stated CPU or GPU activity. On Macs with a continuous lid-angle sensor, the animation follows the hinge angle directly; on machines with only a binary clamshell switch, it plays a time-based opening animation with an adjustable duration. The app uses Metal shaders, is written in Swift, supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later, and requires Screen Recording permission to capture the desktop. It can also provide an interactive preview on desktop Macs, while external-display clamshell mode suppresses the hinge animation.

Capptivo is a free, open-source screen recorder and editor for creating demo videos on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It tracks cursor movement and clicks to apply follow-cursor and click-based automatic zooms, and provides editor presets, annotations, facecam, backgrounds, captions, and MP4, WebM, or GIF export. Captions use a system whisper.cpp command-line binary, with model weights downloaded on first use. Vorssaint is a free, open-source Swift/SwiftUI macOS menu bar toolkit that combines utilities including per-application volume and audio controls, output and microphone switching, system monitoring, network statistics, app and window switching, window snapping, Dock previews, clipboard history, text snippets, file staging, screen capture, display and energy controls, media tools, cleaning, and app removal. It is modular: users can install or remove complete features, with removed features stopping loading while retaining their settings for later reinstallation. The toolkit also provides configurable shortcuts, panels, a command bar, and optional bundles for common setups. Vorssaint runs locally without an account, analytics, tracking, subscription, or required network service; its volume mixer requires no audio driver or setup, and selected features request only the relevant macOS permissions, including accessibility, screen recording, audio recording, microphone, camera, calendars, notifications, and disk access.
