eSearch is a cross-platform Electron screenshot and screen-search application for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It combines screenshot capture and editing, color picking, drawing, scrolling capture in arbitrary directions, screen recording, pinning images on screen, OCR, translation, reverse image search, QR-code recognition, and screen translation. Its offline eSearch-OCR engine is based on PaddleOCR. Users can select text in a screenshot for recognition, paragraph or vertical-text processing, rotation-aware recognition, later editing and proofreading, and optional additional language models; online OCR services are also supported. OCR output can be sent to translation engines, while reverse image search can use Google, Baidu, or Yandex, and the application can connect to configurable multimodal-model interfaces. Screen translation creates a pinned window that replaces recognized text with translated text and can run on a timer. The application provides configurable shortcuts and tray operation, supports Windows, Linux, and macOS, and is distributed from its website, releases, Arch Linux AUR, and winget. croc is a command-line tool for transferring files and directories between computers using a short code phrase rather than manually configuring SSH servers, firewalls, keys, or IP addresses. It uses peer-to-peer connections with relay fallback and end-to-end encryption based on PAKE, supports resumable and multiple transfers, and does not require a local server or port forwarding.
