Husk is an open-source iPhone app for running Android apps and games from APKs and split APK bundles. It uses a translation layer for compatible 64-bit Android software: the game's native code runs directly on the iPhone while Husk provides Android library calls, Java interfaces, graphics through ANGLE or MoltenVK, sound, touch, and controller support. For software the translation layer cannot run, Husk boots a full LineageOS system under QEMU, with substantially slower processor emulation.
The app supports engines and frameworks including Unity, Unreal Engine 4, cocos2d-x, Godot, SDL2 and SDL3, GameActivity, NativeActivity, and Rockstar's engine used by GTA: San Andreas. Both modes require JIT on iOS; Husk supports sideloading through SideStore, AltStore, TrollStore, or other methods and requires iOS 16 or later. It is distributed as an IPA and licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later.
