Instatic is an open-source, self-hosted visual CMS that combines a canvas editor, content engine, media management, authentication, forms, plugins, and publishing in one Bun server. It supports SQLite or Postgres and generates plain semantic HTML and compact CSS without a framework runtime, builder attributes, or editor machinery in the published pages.
The project can be deployed through Railway, Render, Docker, or a VPS, and is distributed under the MIT license. It is designed to manage the full site-building workflow, including users, roles, content, and databases, rather than serving only as a page editor.
