lintapple is an npm-based UI linting tool that checks a running web page against rules for fonts, text sizes, contrast, control size, screen bounds, spacing, alignment, radii, and related layout properties. It runs from the CLI against an application URL and reports each finding with the rule, measured value, and suggested fix; it can also wait for an application-ready selector and emit a JSON report.
The package provides a Playwright helper, `expectUI`, which reads the project's `ui-policy.json`, fails the test when findings are detected, and attaches a JSON report. Additional layout checks use attributes such as `data-ui-stack`, `data-ui-actions`, `data-ui-container`, `data-ui-content`, and alignment or radius markers. It requires Node.js 22 or later and is distributed under the MIT license.
