OpenSwarm

Open Science is an open-source, local-first, model-agnostic AI research workbench developed by AIPOCH for scientists and researchers. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux and supports computational and data-intensive research in fields including machine learning, statistics, life sciences, chemistry, materials science, physics, and environmental science. Users create projects and sessions, describe research goals in plain language, attach source files, select a model and approval mode, and inspect the agent’s tool activity. Scientific AI agents can read files, search the web, execute Python and R code, query scientific data sources, and produce reports, tables, figures, and other research artifacts. The workbench supports literature review, hypothesis development, code execution, data analysis, simulation, visualization, and related reproducible research workflows. Its first-run setup checks the environment, configures model-provider credentials, optionally prepares Python and R runtimes, and prepares an agent runtime such as Claude Code, OpenCode, or Codex; app-managed runtimes can be installed without Node.js, npm, or administrator privileges. Projects keep sessions, uploads, generated files, and preview state together. Conversations record agent answers and the commands, file reads, edits, searches, and connector calls behind them. Generated artifacts are stored as immutable, checksummed versions; their Provenance view can show producer code and execution history, referenced inputs, the observed environment inventory, the producing conversation branch, and version-scoped reviewer findings, marking unavailable evidence as unavailable rather than guessing.

OpenBot is an open-source AI agent platform from CopilotKit that gives each agent its own computer with a browser, logins, files, tools, and a dedicated interaction channel. It runs in the user's infrastructure and accepts agents that speak the AG-UI protocol, including agents built with LangGraph, Mastra, CrewAI, Pydantic AI, Google ADK, or custom code. A single gateway mediates actions involving the computer, files, MCP servers, and UI components: it decides whether an action is permitted before execution and records it afterward. Agents can operate their own browser screen, hand control to a human for restricted actions, and return component-based responses. Docker Compose runs the application components and PostgreSQL, while the administrator supplies the model credentials; the repository describes the project as alpha software under active development.

OpenMausBot is an open-source, local-first chat application for managing a team of AI bots as separate contacts. Each bot can have its own personality, model, conversation thread, computer, and connected applications, using agents launched through locally installed Claude, Codex, or Grok command-line tools and existing user logins. A local harness server on 127.0.0.1 manages agent processes, transcripts, keys, and events in the user's local OpenMausBot data directory. Bots can work through a cloud Linux desktop, an isolated local virtual machine, or—where supported—the host computer. Shell commands, file edits, and questions are routed through a permission broker and shown as approval or response cards. The application includes model selection, bot and conversation management, browser-accessible desktop takeover, and connected applications through Composio, including services such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Notion, and Linear. The repository provides desktop distributions for macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu, with Ubuntu Wayland host control disabled according to the README while a stated issue is resolved.

SwarmForge is a local, tmux-based orchestration platform for coordinating multiple AI agents across Git worktrees. It reads a project-local configuration that assigns roles, agent backends, worktrees, task or batch handling, and handoff propagation; launches each role in an isolated tmux session; and provides a browser-based pack cockpit for projects, tasks, approvals, clarifications, live status, agent-pane inspection, and teardown. Agents communicate through a daemon-delivered handoff protocol and helper scripts rather than direct tmux messages. The repository supplies two-pack, four-pack, and six-pack workflow templates with role prompts and constitution articles, while projects can define their own swarm topology. It runs locally with zsh, Git, tmux, Babashka, and at least one supported agent backend such as Claude, Codex, Copilot, or Grok; swarm state is kept in the working director

OpenWorker is an open-source desktop AI coworker that produces finished deliverables from everyday tasks, including code-security reviews with proposed fixes, cloud-configuration audits, incident reports, documents, spreadsheets, drafted messages, and scheduled briefs. It runs on the user's machine through a native desktop app and a local Python agent server built on aisuite, working across local files, the terminal, connected applications, and more than 25 connectors. Specialist coworkers cover security review, cloud posture, incident triage, everyday work, and recurring automations; security review combines deterministic scanners such as Semgrep with model reasoning, then re-scans and diff-reviews proposed fixes before approval. The agent breaks requested outcomes into steps and uses models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, open-weight providers, or a local Ollama deployment, with the user supplying model access. Consequential actions—including sending messages, changing calendars, and running commands—are approval-gated. Its governance design includes human-only floors for dangerous or irreversible operations, explicitly granted and revocable autonomy rules, circuit-breaker escalation for uncertain or repeatedly denied actions, and an audit trail recording tool calls, approval provenance, and reviewer reasoning; unattended runs cannot self-approve. The project is in open beta and provides downloads for macOS on Apple Silicon and Windows on x64.
