OpenTimestamps is an open standard and suite of tools for blockchain-based timestamping, originally developed by Bitcoin developer Peter Todd. It provides a compact timestamp format plus client and server software to create and verify tamper-evident timestamps anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain and extended to other chains.
