PasteDB is a paste-sharing platform for sharing code, notes, text snippets, and images through links. It provides syntax highlighting, raw and Markdown views, HTML previews, code execution for selected languages, image uploads, password protection, expiration times, burn-after-read pastes, public and private pastes, custom paste IDs, QR-code sharing, and paste analytics.
It supports end-to-end encrypted pastes, encrypting content on the device so the server does not store the encryption key. Its link-paste feature compresses content into a URL so small pastes can be shared without server-side storage. The project also provides a Node.js CLI, Python and Node.js SDKs, a Visual Studio Code extension, and nearby-device transfer.
The frontend uses JavaScript with Highlight.js, Marked.js, and DOMPurify; the backend uses FastAPI and Python with MongoDB and Cloudinary. The repository identifies the project as MIT-licensed and is maintained by Aditya Sorathiya.

Makes sharing a code snippet or note as easy as sending a link, with syntax highlighting, markdown previews, images, and controls like passwords, expiry times, or burn-after-read. It supports encrypted pastes and can pack content into the URL itself so the paste isn't stored on the server.
