reminal is a self-hosted remote-access tool by Harshalgajjar for using a machine's terminal, application windows, or full desktop from a browser on another computer or phone. It supports macOS, Linux, and Windows, with closed-lid virtual-display mode on macOS.
The host establishes an outbound connection to a relay, so it requires no open inbound ports or port forwarding. Terminal sessions use browser-based xterm.js access with session persistence, reconnection, file transfer, local-port exposure, QR/PIN joining, and optional device-owner enrollment. Window and desktop capture use WebRTC peer-to-peer streaming when possible, while the relay routes end-to-end-encrypted session traffic. The command-line client can also register an MCP server so supported agent CLIs can list, search, read, and send keystrokes to sessions across enrolled machines.
The project provides installation scripts and can be run with the public relay or a self-hosted Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects relay. It is dual-licensed under AGPL-3.0, with a commercial license for embedding or distributing modified copies as a service.

Lets you reach the computer you left behind from a browser on your phone or another machine: use its terminal, control an app window, or open the whole desktop without setting up port forwarding. Sessions are end-to-end encrypted and the browser needs no extra client.
