SLOOP

SLOOP is free, open-source live groovebox firmware for the M-VAVE FM-1, based on Felucca by Leo Kuroshita and Hügelton Instruments. It turns the device into a four-track instrument with three synth tracks and a drum track, ten synthesis engines including six-operator FM with DX7 patch import, live recording, looping, song sections, effects, samples, and a sequencer.

Overview

Its sequencer supports per-track lengths and divisions, chords, ties, slides, swing, ratchets, parameter locks, micro-timing, fills, and MIDI output. SLOOP supports USB and TRS MIDI, MIDI clock synchronization, class-compliant USB audio recording, and a browser-based editor for sound parameters, sequences, drum kits, samples, projects, backups, and restores. It is distributed under GPL-3.0-only, remains beta software, and can be installed or reverted to the official FM-1 firmware through a browser-based installer.
