wasmcp is a WebAssembly Component Development Kit and CLI for building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. It scaffolds MCP tool components in Rust, Python, or TypeScript, registers local or OCI-distributed components under aliases, and composes them into a WebAssembly server that can run with Wasmtime, Spin, or another component-capable runtime. Its composition pipeline wraps tool, resource, prompt, and other MCP feature components with transport and middleware components. Each component handles the requests it understands and delegates the rest downstream; results such as tool lists are merged into a unified server catalog. The CLI also supports reusable composition profiles, stateful sessions backed by key-value storage, streaming notifications, and public or OAuth 2.1-protected operation with JWT bearer-token validation and scope-based authorization. The project is distributed as an installable CLI or can be built with Cargo. Its generated servers use WebAssembly components and the project is licensed under Apache 2.0.

Spun is a source-available music player for Linux that presents album artwork through CD, vinyl, cassette, and TP-7-inspired recorder interfaces. It plays local music and can browse YouTube Music anonymously, connect to Jellyfin, Navidrome, or Subsonic servers, and control Apple Music through a running Cider instance. Its player provides shared playback controls, queues, album details, lyrics, seeking, mini mode, desktop media controls, and optional modeled 3D views with lighting based on Noctalia's wallpaper palette. The application supports local imports without copying or modifying the original music files, separate queues for its supported sources, and an optional TX-6-style mixer for local, YouTube, Jellyfin, or Subsonic audio. YouTube support uses an isolated Python helper based on ytmusicapi and yt-dlp; Cider connectivity uses its local API and handles Apple Music authentication and streaming. The mixer performs EQ, delay, compression, and channel mixing inside Spun, but does not support external USB hardware, recording, MIDI, or separate auxiliary outputs. Spun is built from source with CMake, Ninja, Qt 6.8 or later, and TagLib 2.0 or later; Qt Quick 3D is optional. The repository states that there is no packaged installer yet. Its original code and assets are distributed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0, which is source-available and not OSI-approved.

SPIRE (the SPIFFE Runtime Environment) is an open-source toolchain and implementation of the SPIFFE workload-identity framework, maintained by the SPIFFE community and hosted as a graduated Cloud Native Computing Foundation project. It exposes the SPIFFE Workload API to attest running software, assign SPIFFE IDs, and issue SPIFFE Verifiable Identity Documents (SVIDs), allowing workloads to establish trust through mTLS or JWT signing and verification and to authenticate securely to services such as secret stores, databases, and cloud providers. SPIRE distributes SPIRE Server and SPIRE Agent binaries, with container images also available for those components and its OIDC discovery provider. Its extensible plugin framework supports different hosting environments and integrations, including an Envoy Secret Discovery Service implementation for installing and rotating TLS certificates and trust bundles. The project provides quickstarts for Kubernetes, Linux, and macOS, along with Go and Java client libraries and example repositories.
