Spin key-value store

Spin is an open-source framework and developer tool for building, deploying, and running secure, composable cloud microservices as WebAssembly components. Its CLI creates applications from templates, builds them to WebAssembly, runs them locally, and supports application distribution and execution using the WebAssembly component model and Wasmtime runtime. Spin provides supported SDKs for JavaScript, Rust, Go, and Python, with capabilities including HTTP and Redis triggers, outbound HTTP, configuration variables, key-value and database storage, and serverless AI features.

SQLite is a self-contained, serverless, zero-configuration, transactional SQL database engine implemented as a C library. It was created and is primarily maintained by D. Richard Hipp and the SQLite development team and is widely used as an embedded database in applications, devices, and browsers.

Syncular is an offline-first SQL synchronization toolkit that keeps an SQLite database on each client while treating a server-owned commit log as authoritative. Applications read and write local SQLite immediately; writes enter an outbox and are checked and reconciled by the server during synchronization. The browser client runs SQLite on OPFS, while native integrations share a Rust core with native SQLite through bindings for Rust, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, and Tauri. Servers can run on Bun, Node, or Cloudflare Workers with SQLite, Postgres, or D1. The project also provides server-side persistent SyncClients, database-less SyncRemoteClients, schema and query code generation, React hooks, column encryption, Yjs CRDT integration, and TypeScript and Rust implementations checked against a shared conformance catalog. Syncular is maintained by Benjamin Kniffler and is pre-1.0; its public APIs and protocol details may change before 1.0. The repository is released under the license stated in its repository files.

sqlite-multiwriter is a VFS extension for SQLite that allows multiple threads or processes to write to the same database concurrently without changing SQLite, the SQL, the schema, or the ordinary SQLite database format. Each writer uses a private write-ahead log and a snapshot; at commit, the engine validates the pages read and written, orders the commits, publishes them through a commit log, and compacts the results into the database file. Writers that conflict on the same page can receive SQLITE_BUSY_SNAPSHOT and must retry the whole transaction; the optional rebase mode can replay supported row-level INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations that lost only because they shared pages. It supports extension loading or static linking, thread and multi-process modes, and platform packages for Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows. It requires WAL mode and a local filesystem, and is distributed under the Apache License 2.0; the vendored SQLite code is public domain.

SPIFFE (Secure Production Identity Framework for Everyone) is an open framework and set of standards for assigning strongly attested cryptographic identities to software workloads across heterogeneous infrastructure, including Kubernetes, virtual machines, public clouds, and private data centers. Workloads can use these identities for authenticated service-to-service communication through X.509 or JWT-based mechanisms, including mutually authenticated TLS and zero-trust authentication without passwords or API keys. SPIRE (SPIFFE Runtime Environment) is the companion toolchain that establishes trust and issues workload identities across hosting platforms. SPIFFE and SPIRE are graduated projects of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
