Argo Workflows is an open-source, container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes. It is implemented as a Kubernetes Custom Resource Definition: each workflow step runs as a container, and multi-step processes can be modeled either as ordered steps or as a directed acyclic graph (DAG). It supports machine-learning pipelines, data and batch processing, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD. The project provides workflow templating, artifact and parameter inputs and outputs, loops, conditionals, retries, timeouts, scheduling, suspension and resumption, resource orchestration, garbage collection, event triggers, and Prometheus metrics. It includes a web UI, CLI, REST and gRPC server interfaces, workflow archiving, log viewing, and Java, Go, Python through Hera, and TypeScript through Juno client libraries. Argo Workflows is a graduated Cloud Native Computing Foundation project and can run on Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments.

A CI/CD and automation platform from GitHub (Microsoft) that runs YAML-defined workflows in response to repository events, schedules, or API calls. Workflows orchestrate jobs on GitHub-hosted or self-hosted runners (Ubuntu, Windows, macOS or custom runners), invoke container, JavaScript or composite actions, and produce artifacts (build outputs, test reports, generated files). It supports secrets, caching, matrix and reusable workflows, the Actions Marketplace, and can run arbitrary CLI tools (for example, invoking a D2 CLI in a workflow to generate architecture diagrams from D2 source files).

Jenkins is an open-source automation server for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). It automates software builds, tests, and deployments through Pipeline definitions and a large plugin ecosystem, and supports distributed build agents across multiple operating systems.

ToolJet is an open-source low-code platform for building and deploying internal tools, dashboards, business applications, workflows, and AI agents. Its visual builder uses drag-and-drop components and supports multi-page apps, collaborative editing, JavaScript and Python logic, a built-in no-code database, and connections to databases, APIs, cloud storage, SaaS applications, and other data sources. The community edition can be self-hosted with Docker, Kubernetes, or major cloud providers, while ToolJet AI adds natural-language app generation, AI-assisted query building and debugging, and an agent builder. The project also provides access control, encrypted data handling, plugin and connector extensibility through the ToolJet CLI, and hosted deployment through ToolJet Cloud.

Kaneo is an open-source, self-hosted project-management tool for teams, focused on issue management and kanban-style workflows. It is designed as a simpler alternative to more complex project-management platforms, keeping project data on the user's infrastructure. The project can be deployed with the drim command-line tool, Docker Compose, or a Kubernetes Helm chart. Its Docker Compose setup runs Kaneo with PostgreSQL, and the project is distributed under the permissive MIT license.
