XPDB (cross-cluster pod disruption budget)

DBX is an open-source, cross-platform database client developed in the t8y2/dbx project. It provides desktop, web, Docker, and CLI distributions for connecting to more than 100 databases and related systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis, MongoDB, DuckDB, SQL Server, message queues, and service registries. The desktop application uses Tauri, Vue, TypeScript, and Rust and is distributed as a small native binary without a bundled Java runtime, Python environment, or Chromium. Its query editor uses CodeMirror 6 with SQL completion, formatting, diagnostics, history, saved snippets, and file execution. Schema and data tools include object browsing, table editing, ER diagrams, schema comparison, explain plans, field lineage, imports, database transfers, exports, data comparison, and previews of Parquet, CSV, and JSON files through DuckDB. Specialized interfaces support Redis and MongoDB, while consoles cover Kafka, RocketMQ, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, MQTT, Nacos, Consul, ZooKeeper, and etcd. DBX includes an AI SQL assistant that converts natural-language requests into SQL, explains and optimizes queries, fixes errors, and checks generated SQL before execution. It supports Claude, OpenAI, local Ollama models, and OpenAI-compatible endpoints. A separately distributed Rust MCP server lets compatible coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf list connections, browse tables, execute SQL, and open tables in DBX; access can be restricted to read-only, safe-write, or high-risk-write modes. The project also provides a CLI for terminal and agent workflows, a signed and sandboxed plugin system with Go and TypeScript SDKs, encrypted credential storage, SSH tunnels, and Docker-based self-hosting. It is licensed under Apache-2.0.

EKS on HyperPod is an AWS infrastructure service for running Kubernetes-orchestrated H100 GPU clusters. DatologyAI used it as the execution environment for a large-scale synthetic-data pipeline combining Ray, KubeRay, and vLLM, with workflows spanning data curation, synthesis, training, and evaluation.

CockroachDB is a distributed SQL database developed by Cockroach Labs. It is compatible with the PostgreSQL wire protocol and supports most PostgreSQL syntax, data types, drivers, and ORMs. CockroachDB scales horizontally: every node can accept reads and writes, while data automatically rebalances across nodes and hotspot detection adjusts distribution as load changes. It can be fully managed on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, operated in a customer's cloud account, or self-hosted on Kubernetes, on-premises, or in hybrid environments. In the video's Form3 case, CockroachDB served as the single data store across all three cloud providers for a multi-cloud payments platform.

kubeasz is a tool for rapidly deploying highly available Kubernetes clusters. It assembles a cluster from individual components using binary deployments and Ansible playbooks, with both a one-click installation script and step-by-step installation guides for certificates, etcd, container runtimes, control-plane nodes, worker nodes, networking, and cluster plugins. It provides configurable component parameters alongside preset configurations, and can automate a BGP Route Reflector network mode for large clusters. The project supports offline installation, multiple CPU architectures, and several networking implementations, including Calico, Cilium, Flannel, Kube-OVN, and Kube-Router. It is distributed under the Apache License 2.0.

Expense Budget Tracker is a self-hosted, open-source personal-finance application for budgeting, tracking transactions and balances, transferring funds between accounts, and reporting across currencies. It runs on PostgreSQL and provides a web interface for managing budgets, transactions, accounts, and workspaces. The project includes a hosted MCP server and an Agent API. Compatible MCP clients can inspect workspace schemas, run restricted read queries, and, with the required write scope, execute approved data changes. The HTTP SQL API uses API keys and a flat table structure so AI agents can query and analyze financial data or import transactions from screenshots, CSV files, and PDF bank statements. The repository provides a Docker-based quick start that runs PostgreSQL, migrations, the web application, and a worker. The project is fully open source and designed for deployment on the user's own servers.
