Holm

Holm is a self-hosted, multi-user dashboard for households, teams, and organizations. An administrator publishes an app catalog and connects an existing OIDC identity provider; each person then signs in and maintains an individual app layout, bookmarks, theme, wallpaper, and icon style without editing shared YAML or other users' pages.

Overview

Its launcher can open configured apps, run commands, and search connected services using each user's own credentials. Supported integrations include Immich, Paperless-ngx, Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Plex, Navidrome, Audiobookshelf, Mealie, Seerr, Planka, and Karakeep; search results can also launch or request media through the relevant services. Configuration is file-based, with apps, branding, and most settings reloading when the YAML file changes.

Holm is distributed as a single amd64/arm64 container with built-in SQLite, encrypted per-user integration credentials, no telemetry, and an installable PWA. It can run with Docker Compose and OIDC authentication, or in a bundled demo mode with authentication disabled. The project is licensed under the MIT license.

What Holm is used for

1 use taken from transcripts — each links to the moment in the video.

  • Gives each person on a home server a start page with their own app tiles, bookmarks, wallpaper, and layout, so family members don't have to edit YAML to find the apps. You publish the app catalog once, connect your existing sign-in system, and its search bar can look inside Paperless, Jellyfin, and other apps using each person's own account.
