Newsboat is an actively maintained RSS/Atom feed reader for text terminals. It provides a terminal user interface for subscribing to feeds, downloading updates, navigating articles, and reading text content without opening a web browser.

Overview

Its features include a built-in HTML renderer, article filtering by title, author, or contents, aggregation into configurable meta-feeds, feed transformations, bookmarking scripts for sending links or articles to third-party services, macros, integrations with services such as The Old Reader, NewsBlur, and FeedHQ, and rudimentary podcast support. It can be installed from distribution repositories or Snap, or built from source.
